can't think of a QB who put up Stidham's stat line including 2 INTs in one quarter, who went on to be a decent starting QB.

.
I think Romo was similarly horrible his first game, think this is the box score here (3 INTs) - Giants vs. Cowboys - Game Summary - October 23, 2006 - ESPN

I remember that game well because I won over $500 off of Romo's terrible play. Dude was bad. Although Stidham's play also brings memories of Perrimen on the Bills. That dude was terrible.

There are busts at every position every year. It stands to reason that there'd be some, if not more, at QB, the toughest position of them all.

I think Rodgers was lucky to sit behind Favre for a while. He got to see how costly it is to throw picks.
Disagree. He was more lucky to have extra years for McCarthy to work on his mechanics and many people credit Mike for that. It’s well known that Farve gave Aaron the cold shoulder

Florio reminds me of Alfalfa

.

Game in Buffalo in 2011 too where the Bills broke their losing streak against us

Ugh. Never forget that. We were in Rome for our 25th anniversary... it was the trip’s singular blemish.

Russell Wilson's 2014 NFCCG comes to mind: 14-29, 209 yards, 1 TD, 4 INTs. Up until 4 minutes left in the 4th it was probably one of the worst ever performances by a starting QB in a championship game. In his final 3 drives (including the game winner in OT) Wilson went 6-7 for 134 yards and 1 TD. Before that he was a wretched 8-22, 75 yards, 0 TD, 4 INTs.

That was Eason-esque and IIRC Donovan McNAbb had a NFC championship game in that same category....I'll find it and post later...

EDIT Donovan McNabb Playoffs Game Log | Pro-Football-Reference.com

NFCCG vs Carolina 2003 10/22 100 yds 0 TD, 3 int and 4 sacks... QB rating 19.3

I think that's what we're getting. He is 3-2, which is respectable but not overwhelming, and he is having a season which is respectable but not overwhelming.

I tell ya this: After last night, I think he misses having a well coached team. Those Bucs are ugly.
They lost to two good teams, on the road. im sure its not the first time

INTs matter.

3rd string Stidham only completed 38% of his throws. Stidham showed me nothing to believe that he is the Pats QB of the future.
If Edelman doesn't let that pass slip through his fingers, if Izzo reaches up to catch a pass we're talking about Stidham's amazing comeback against KC. If BB yokes Hoyer at the half it probably doesn't become a desperate situation. Stidham played much better than his numbers indicated and he was let down by his weapons. I don't know if he's the QB of the future but it would be difficult to be worse than Hoyer was in year 11.

This is what I saw too. He was able to move the offense and played a lot better than his numbers suggested. I can't imagine a more difficult way to get thrust into your first real non mop up playing time. Covid, no practice, travel and playing the same day, coming in behind, etc.

I was wondering about that too on the replay but it looks like there's two bears defenders that could converge. Not sure he had anything else open so probably should have thrown it to that guy. But if the guy doesn't make it Brady would have been crucified for going for the checkdown and not going down the field even if nothing was open.
Watched that drive again, looks like the checkdown was open on 3rd down. Should have thrown it there although he had gronk with a better throw on that down? Ah well. It happens.

Got Harry his first TD on the season, converted must have downs. Edelman screwed him but I'd love to see him for a whole game just to see what he's made of.

Yeah - I get it with the whole pandemic thing but he didn't have to do what Gilmore did to Mahomes. Foles was looking for him. At least greet the guy even if you don't shake his hand. It would have shut up the critics. I defended Brady last time at the Super Bowl but he still should have done it then on the field and now. This just makes him look like either a sore loser or someone who has a problem with Foles which is just weird. I mean cmon man.

Imagine Cam Newton doing something like that? He'd be roasted in the media.

cam will be roasted in any case
