These comparisons are so silly. Brady literally has pro-bowlers at WR, TE, and RB in Tampa. He is surrounded by elite talent everywhere. I would have fully expected him to put up stats. That's why he went to Tampa. To put up stats. If we're going to show stats let's be honest then that at the same time hasn't he thrown 4 INTs for return-TD in his last 6 games now.

.

The comparison was last year to this year, so why would you be bringing up anything involving an ongoing 6 game span? That's certainly not "honest".

Yeah comparing last year's sorry WR corp to an all-pro Tampa offense is definitely dishonest. And besides the point. I know Brady is going to put up huge stats this year. It's literally why he went to Tampa. Doesn't mean it was the wrong decision to move on from a 43 year old. I love Brady but it makes zero sense to try to pit him against Belichick. Do people forget the first half of his last game, they were down 17 points and Brady was missing every throw.

No, it's not. It's actually kind of the point.

Your claim about the pick sixes is what was dishonest, in context. Then again your two posts here are mostly inane.

The talent on Tampa's WR, TE, and RB corps is vastly different compared to the NE WR corps. But whatever, I like Brady and I'm glad he's doing well. It's why he went to Tampa, to put up huge fantasy football stats and prove his legacy. It literally doesn't prove anything in terms of moving on from him.

Right. And Brady left by his own choice. That's not an opinion that's a fact and it's pointless to argue over a fact.

Patriots offense sucked last year with Brady. It would suck this year with him, perhaps moreso given the schedule. What's there to argue?

Yea the fanboys should start spewing hate on Tom for choosing to leave and not even engaging NE in negotiations.

I think it's funny that many of them actually want us to think Belichick without Brady is a lousy coach and certainly no better than he was in Cleveland.

I anticipate that Monday's game shoved that take so far up their ass they can't pull it out.

Missing every throw? He had 2 td passes in the first half. He had the pick six but he made several great passes.

And he's never had a tough half in NE?

Pats lost by 16
Is this another “moral victory” moment, like the Seattle loss?
I guess “close” only counts in horseshoes, hand grenades, nuclear bombs, and Bradyless Pats losses.

With a subpar coach and the circumstances leading up to the game I doubt they would have lost by less than 40 to the best team and QB in football. They had every reason to write this one off and didn't do so. They competed well and that's what I want to see right now.

No. He went there to win a Super bowl. Because you know actually having a talented offense helps your chances of winning.

You're joking right. The last win was all Brady. Winston has never recovered from a 14pt deficit.

The difference in 3-1 and 2-2 is Brady.

My question was rhetorical.....to the guy I was responding.

This was asked along the lines of my guess is we have similar expectations.

(P.S. They were actually down 17)

Spread moved from Bucs -7 on Sunday all the way to Bucs -3.5

Mike Evans
Chris Godwin
Scotty Miller
Justin Watson
OJ Howard (IR)

That is literally their top 5 pass catchers. Not sure I have seen a rash of injuries to one group like this before.

2019 Pats had a weak OL and receivers and had a very difficult time running the ball. I have never seen a QB intentionally throw the ball away as much as Brady did last year to avoid negative yardage. This years team has an excellent OL, is one of the leagues best at running the ball and while the receiving core is still limited it appears to be better than the 2019 version. The 2020 Patriots are nothing like last year so the offense and Brady would not be having the exact same issues they had in 2019. Many were claiming that Brady was toast based on the last half of the season which was obviously BS based on what he has done so far for a banged up TB team.

Am fine they moved on from Brady and getting Cam on the cheap gives them a real chance to make the post season. If Cam can get back on the field and improve his passing a little this team should be a top 10 offense and with a solid defense should be a tough out for anyone.

So in your opinion a 2-2 team is an elite team? Brady has been missing Godwin for most of the season and Evans has been banged up.

You don’t think the saints are a good team? Yes or no?

It is too early to tell what any team is. The Saints right now look like a middler team with a horrid D. They could figure things out and start to play better on D and become a good team or they could continue to suck on D and Brees continues to decline and they turn into a bottom third team. That is my whole point. It has been 4 games. Your record says what you are at this point. Good teams find ways to win no matter who they are playing.

It's a rest day because they have such a short week.
