Nope, you missed both. BB wasn't asking anyone anything, he was screaming while KC lined up and punted. And the punt hit the returner's ankle, as Slater was screaming about on the field and the guy who jumped on it also saw.
So your argument is that since the camera wasn’t on him, despite the fact that he always discusses the questionable call with the ref that belichick is a liar and when he said in his press conference he said he asked Tony what the call was and corrente said that forward progress was stopped, he was making it up?
Interesting take but not realistic.

As for the punt you evidently need glasses.

Guys, the first job of the receiver is not to catch the ball, his first priority is to ensure possession at all costs. Once that ball is in the air, it is up to the receiver to ensure that if he can't catch it that no one else will. I can't even fathom what happened to Jules on that play. Hit him right in the hands and somehow bounced right to TM. He looked sick on the sideline as he should have.

Ya.....No... You are 100% wrong on both of those.

Ya it might have a bad decision to throw it but the pick is on Edelman. Hit him in the hands and him not expecting it is kind of a weak argument. He ran the route and he was looking that way and attempted to catch the ball. Wasn't like he had his head up field and it hit him and got picked
If the throw going there was a bad decision, how is pointing out that Edelman, who is one of the best receivers we’ve ever had in this offense at making pre- and post-snap reads, wasn’t expecting the ball a weak argument? The throw shouldn’t have gone there in the first place. Once it did, the placement was bad and it was a rocket. The results speak for themselves.

If you're an eligible receiver you should always expect the ball /shrug

That’s not even remotely close to true. Oftentimes, the coverage will dictate where the ball should and should not go. Unless Edelman has an option route on that play, which he clearly didn’t, the coverage dictated that this was a risky ball. It’s not as if he was being covered by their nickelback who was 10+ yards off the ball in off coverage. The Rover was within five yards with his eyes in the backfield.

Edelman had to make a catch like that. Period. All other opinions are wrong.

I don't get what there is to talk about with this play. Edelman is on the field so he is a potential target and has to expect that he might get the ball no matter how unlikely.

The reality is that while Jules often comes up clutch he also doesn't necessarily have the best hands. He has been fighting with drops through his career and this year he dropped a potential game winner against the Seahawks and now a pretty simple uncontested pass towards him. That it turned into a pick six is unfortunate and pretty improbable but you gotta make gimme catches like that.

Since you are claiming something that nobody else has seen based on the replays CBS provided I'd love if you could point to a shot or a clip showing the ball hitting the KC player.

Ok maybe expect wasn't the right word. But you shouldn't be surprised by it

I remain absolutely certain that we win that game with Newton at QB. I said it before the game and, though I only got to see the highlights because of Bible study, I remain convinced. The Pats are still a threat if Cam is under center.

Just watched the game with the benefit of reading most of the match comments before hand. Thought...

OL/DL/Secondary played well
Harris showing promise but a bit blinkered in ploughing straight ahead too many times ...but powerful all the same
QB's ? ....without Cam its not great , I expected a steady Hoyer but some bad errors , not sure re Stidham so far....neither can be as bad as the Broncos QB !!!
WR's and TE's just not enough from either position. Bird and Harry are steady with good hands but not exactly a threat....yet. Only saw Edelman in the 3rd Q was he double teamed all the time. TE's were only for blocking once Izzo missed a couple of catches.
If the defence were holding the Chiefs to field goals then we had to score points but the offence just did not/could not do it.
With a sharper offence then this would have been a win

Stidham should have thrown 3 INTs. He got bailed out by a suspect call against Matthieu. As it stands, he threw 2 INTs in less than a half’s work. That’s terrible.
Are you counting the Edelman fumblerooski into Mathieu's hands as an INT for the td? Clearly not Stidham's error....

Maybe I’m crazy but I’d rather play Hoyer than Stidham next week. Hoyer was appalling but if he plays more conservatively and doesn’t make brain dead decisions like losing track of timeouts he is a better option than Stidham. Stidham has a 5 INT game written on his forehead.

Edelman made a bad play. If you play in the NFL, you make some. He has made hundreds of good ones. Flush it and move on.

Many positives in a frustrating loss. BB’s reluctance to throw the challenge flag or replace his steering QB were two negatives for me.

Maybe. Chiefs played defense entirely different with Hoyer in there. Had it been Cam, they would have played like they did vs the Ravens. We would have had a better chance but don't know if we win.

We ran well despite them stacked against it. If passing option was more viable, running attack likely even more effective

Agreed.

Combined, they were 20-37 with 3 picks. Neither of these guys are worth a chit.

glad the refs were all-in to support the Chiefs, wasn't expecting anything less

for a healthy team with superior offense and the world greatest QB ever steping a foot on this planet and they still need to get bs calls against a banged up Patriots team without a QB

not sure, but did Kelce play? who was covering him, he didn't made a catch?

I explained this to my friends last night. Every player on the chiefs has to know that they’ve received Significant help Over the last two games, yet barely pulled out a win. We have to have gotten in their head last night. If we meet them again healthy, we have a huge advantage. It’s comforting knowing that home field advantage won’t be much of a factor this year. The only thing this team needs to do is make the play offs. If we get a first round bye then I’d say this team as as good of a shot in the playoffs as any.
