I don’t think this can be understated enough, Bill is a ridiculously good coach. Our starting QB gets ruled out a day before the game. Lots of extra tests. Game time/day up in the air. Traveling the day of the game. Still has us in position to win this game and holds an incredible offense/QB at bay and had we not had some of the worst QB play I’ve ever seen we’d have had a real shot. The gap between Bill and the second best coach in the league is miles apart.
I said just before each of Hoyer brain farts. We are about to at least tie the best team in the league with the worst qb in the league.
This is why we need to run the ball 40 times a game when newton is back. Control the game, take little risk, shorten the game, make some plays in the passing game by setting it up with the run
We should look like Baltimore did last year and our defense as is a lot better than theirs.

Hoyer can never start again. I would put that up there with benching Malcolm Butler as far as head scratchers.

Thing is...no one expects him to be a physical phenom. But the High School mental errors b2b were shocking.

You gotta at least try Stid next week IMO. If we can't beat Denver, may as well tank honestly.

It's odd...8-8 screws us 2 ways:

Bad year but not bad enough for a decent pick

How is that a dangerous throw? He was open by at least 5 yards. You can see it if you pause it at 3 seconds. That was actually a safe throw. Might be minimal gain but it should have been an easy pitch and catch.

Too close to the goal line.

The pass was somewhat high. Place the ball on the numbers so your guy gets it and nobody else.

Mcourtys INT on Wilson was the same situation. NFL defenses practice for stray balls like that.

Stidham should have thrown 3 INTs. He got bailed out by a suspect call against Matthieu. As it stands, he threw 2 INTs in less than a half’s work. That’s terrible.
Reminds me of Romo's debut.

You throw it and then haggle with the ref what's reviewable. He was too busy yelling to think about the red flag.
what? He asked the ref what the call was and he said forward progress stopped. The whistle blew. You can’t “haggle” that he called something he didn’t.

The punt did hit the inside of his ankle, the ball spun differently after the contact.
Nah it went right through never touched him. Wasn’t really that close.

Another loss that I come away with positive reactions.

Had the game for the most part penciled in as a close loss with Cam. But Now that Cam didn’t play I leave the game wondering what if he had been in there? Maybe a win possibly?

Hoyer was god awful. Not serious lose the game by yourself awful, but not good enough to take the team on his shoulders and beat a team like KC.

Defense was great, aside from the two dropped picks, they played as good as they were gonna play. Having the offense spot them at least 14 points off of to’s was and also some very friendly zebra calls I’d say they were mvp as a whole.

I’ll say this and then I’m moving on. Kc is lucky that Cam, Andrews and Mason were off tonight. They ran for almost 200 combined and it wouldnof been a lot worse. So bad that they would of shoved play action right up your asses.

I believe in this team, very early but they are going to get much better as the season progresses. Its not going to be 14-2 or 12-4, but they really have that 2007 Giants feel to them that could make a lot of noise come playoff time. Maybe even all the way to the Superbowl.

Put Cam in a Zorb ball until February and let's get that ring.

He’s wide open. The defender is 5 yards away. The only way it’s dangerous is if the receiver has stone hands. That’s about the safest throw you could make.
No its not.

Look what happened to Wilson 2 weeks ago. Risky throw.

It was right at his left shoulder pad.

Interesting Ross, if you find anything, please post...thanks!!!!! Ash
Ash, did a little digging. Here's what I've got from the NFL:

So it appears Cam can come back either 10 days after his test regardless of if he continues to be positive, as long as he stays asymptomatic, or 5 days after his test if he tests negative twice within those 5 days. He tested positive on the 2nd, so 5 days is Wednesday at the soonest, and 10 days is on 12th. The Denver game is on the 11th, so he will miss the 10 day cutoff if he continues to test positive. However, if he goes a 5 day span and gets two negative tests in that span, he could possibly come back before the 11th.

A lot of "maybes" here but it's certainly possible.

Then every throw is risky.
you are literally calling a throw where no defender has any possibility of making a play on the ball unless it bounces off the defenders hands risky. Every single throw is that risky plus there are defensers with a possibility of making a play on the ball.

Outta trade for Kenny Stills. Houston is done anyways

I honestly felt stidham was decent.. a little bit more air and we have a touchdown with Byrd. Gotta understand we don't have receivers who win 1 on 1 . It was his real first test and came up with no practice reps... I think we should be optimistic about defense and what we can do if we are healthy ... Just need to grind it out and get to playoffs...

Defense was really good. This is interesting because I wasn’t super impressed with their run defense against Seattle but the they did a good job containing EH and Mahomes despite having to worry about the passing threat of the Chiefs. That should give them confidence. They had some bad breaks that we knew would come because you can’t completely shut this team down for 60 minutes, but I’m glad they had fight the whole way.

Nope. Down by the goal line is.

Airing the ball out and not thinking about the consequences if the pass is bobbled.

Stidham threw it helmet level.

So 4-5 inches above his shoulder pad. In what universe is that a bad throw? This is the NFL, you gotta make that catch. Just like Olsen needed to make the catch when it happened to the Seahawks.
