LOL that someone called him a “b.itch” in the Other Games thread. Dude played through an injury in which people were initially convinced he’d be out for the season. The Thursday game sucks. Hard to imagine Evans being able to play in that and even if he does, how effective. That ankle will be hurting by tomorrow with swelling. I just hope him and Godwin stop getting banged up every game.
I hope it happens in their second meeting this year.Ahahahaha! Thanks for the coffee spitting material.
Really looking forward to Brady passing Brees and hope it happens while Brees is still playing.
To think the Belichick haters actually believed (hoped?) we'd be the worst team in the league without Brady. LMAO
I'll admit that when it happened I thought ACL or Achilles because I was sitting pretty far away from a smaller TV. Glad I was wrong. Still don't know if he'll play this Thursday though. I hope he can.LOL that someone called him a “b.itch” in the Other Games thread. Dude played through an injury in which people were initially convinced he’d be out for the season.
Sorry, sb1, I'm throwing a flag for 15 yards for unsportsmanlike hyperbole. I never read a single post approaching any kind of sentiment like the one you describe. If anything, it's been the Brady haters who have seemingly been hoping he sucks so they can point out that he's done and should have retired years ago. I have a whole thread to prove it.To think the Belichick haters actually believed (hoped?) we'd be the worst team in the league without Brady. LMAO

Imagine not posting on this site unless you're here for disparaging brady comments.
If we're thinking of the same play, the pass to Amendola was not the same type of throw (such a beautiful pass, btw), but I do hear what you're saying. The one yesterday had less to do with his arm strength, to me, and more to do with Brady predetermining that play and the CB sat on it. The one against the Saints (Jenkins) was thrown from almost the opposite hash and, yes, seems to show that Brady has lost some zip.Throwing deep doesn't mean his arm isn't weaker than it used to be. His continued pick sixes on the same type of throw shouldn't be ignored. He can lob it up deep still, but the true arm strength is in those throws that are now getting taken back because DBs are jumping on them because he doesn't have the touch or strength to consistently drive the ball like he used to on that type of throw
For a great example of when he still had it look at the pass to Amendola in OT of the SB vs the Falcons. Put enough on it so only Amendola had a chance to catch it.
I, personally, don't care about the media, but your post mentions "Bradyites," not the media. It wasn't just here, it was the media too. More than one guy said the Patriots are on the clock (meaning they'll be drafting first) when Brady left. Like Brady was the whole team and we don't also have the greatest coach of all time here nor one of the league's best defenses.
And even if Stidham or Hoyer was the starter, take a look around the league at some of these brutal teams - minus Cam are we really as bad as they are? I don't think so. Before anyone says wait you'll see tonight - we're playing the best team in football tonight that just steamrolled a juggernaut from last year. Not really a great benchmark.
I don't think anyone here hopes Brady sucks. As annoyed as I was at his attitude last year I certainly don't. I would like to think we all hope the Pats do well without Brady. I'm not convinced we all do. Besides if Brady sucked this year, how does that benefit the Pats.
The ball was where it was supposed to be and on time. The ball was released before the cut was made. The defender jumped the route. The ESPN analysis this morning showed the Chargers defenders "squating" on defense meaning they were focused on underneath routes, ready to pounce on them. Bucs adjusted in the second half and exploited that by throwing deep. If defenses keep playing like that then Tom will keep going deep. That will loosen up the route jumping.Throwing deep doesn't mean his arm isn't weaker than it used to be. His continued pick sixes on the same type of throw shouldn't be ignored. Amazing. Maybe now that he's doing it with Arians, people will STFU about "system quarterback". I don't feel bad that most football fans outside NE will only understand and appreciate what a once-in-a-century event the BB/Brady era was only after it becomes immortalized in documentaries for the next 50-60 years.
A lot of fans here don't even appreciate it. Look how many are treating Brady the same way they did, say...Jamie Collins once he left.
Also...Charles Haley did have 5 SB wins.

People act like 9 Super Bowls and 6 Super Bowl victories is due to one guy (Brady or Belichick). They don't realize how monumental this run is. Both these guys are responsible.
If Brady is with the Colts, the Colts win 3. Belichick with Vinny Testaverde as his QB wins 3.
That's how I see it anyway.
It was truly great to be a Pats fan then because we were happy just to have a team in the NFL. We knew our local owners were as nutty as we were and they tried to field competitive teams but...we all knew the other teams always had more talent. Joe Kapp though....THAT was freakin' hard to keep our interest. I mean he could not throw a spiral over five yards....you know why? HE COULDN'T THROW A SPIRAL PERIOD! You know what it's like to look at the other teams and see John Hadl and Lenny Dawson and Griese throwing all over the field and then have to watch Kapp hand off to Carl Garrett and Bo Nance...marked men every game because Kapp COULD NOT THROW A FOOTBALL! I tell ya', it awesome because we always KNEW it could never be worse again.
