The guys who don't want the thread on the main board can't stop trolling in the thread, as they try to get the thread moved or shut down. Perhaps, given the way this place is currently moderated, it's time for the mods to make it so such trolling cannot continue by banning those trolls from the thread.
I'm really hoping the mods step in and take action to discourage the trolling. It seriously diminishes the experience of what is otherwise a great environment. This thread belongs here on the main forum. Perhaps it's the trolls that should be banished to a sub forum where they can be among themselves.

I will say, it was not me who started it. Some of "you" folk decided that nothing negative can be said on this thread about Brady or the Bucs. If you can't except criticism of either Tom or the Bucs take your stuff elsewhere.

Since you aren't very good at reading comprehension, I believed he was injured and the reports were correct. I am not the one arguing he never gets hurt or didn't have repetitive motion injuries.

Repetitive is not repetitive motion injury.

These are distinctly two different things, and it's mind boggling that you don't understand that. Last year was the first time that he had an elbow problem.

He has been the most durable QB in the modern era.

He's also tough as nails.

a rookie WR counted on with Brady as the QB.

Why is this funny?

Brady has done well with rookie WRs like Branch, Mitchell, Givens.

He's done poorly with WRs who--- guess what? Never did anything in the NFL when they went to other teams and played with other QBs. In other words, they weren't good. This Johnson kid too might be no good.

Still waiting for just one rookie to be crap with Brady and then go somewhere else to have a middling career.

Or, never mind that. One WR whether rookie or veteran. Who has left playing with Brady and gone on to do better without him?

The number of WRs who did as well without him can be counted on one hand (Welker, Amendola, Cooks).

Gaffney did better after NEP. Lafell did about the same after NEP. Branch did a little less after the NEP. It aint much but there are a couple.

Also just FYI Vereen had a career year in rec yards after he left the NEP and Woodhead had much better receiving stats for a couple of years after he left here.

What ever happened to Woody?

Gaffney is an interesting case. He was target #4 or lower in New England, because the Patriots were stack with receivers and receiving backs. In Denver, he was target #3 because that team had some quality WRs, but lacked the depth of the Patriots.

So, while I hear what you're saying, I confess to being hung up on the word "better". In terms of pure statistical production, though, he was absolutely more productive in Denver.

I was thinking about that as he was not going to get a lot of balls with the Pats in 2007 and obviously 2008 dosent count. But I guess an argument could be made that Gaff would have probably matched up with a lower CB since Moss, Welker and Stallworth were drawing a lot of attention and teams also had to focus on Faulk..

Yeah, I wish there was some way to get a definitive ruling on this, because Gaffney's basically "the one". How much, if any, of the increase was about not being in Bradyville, how much was about Denver being a bit more pass oriented than the Patriots in 2006 and 2008, and how much was about being a higher priority due to receiver depth, is a question I'd love to hear Gaffney weigh in on.

Tennis elbow is a classic repetitive strain injury ( RSI ): a combination of chronic exhaustion and irritation in the muscles and tendons on the back of the arm and the outside of the elbow, which lift the wrist and fingers

I guess I am not sure if we are arguing or agreeing. Last year Brady supposedly had tennis elbow.

BOSTON (CBS) — Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has been on and off the injury report this season, with listed ailments to his toe, shoulder and right elbow. It’s the elbow injury that’s appeared to have caused him the most trouble, as the QB has been seen shaking out his right arm during warmups in recent weeks to try to loosen up his arm.

and

While he's been able to hit the field on game day, it appears like his injuries this season have limited him substantially in practice at times. During his Tuesday press conference, head coach Bill Belichick was asked about New England's backup quarterbacks in rookie Jarrett Stidham and veteran Cody Kessler and their role in practice given Brady's injuries. In his answer, Belichick highlighted that there have been times where Brady "hasn't been able to do a lot this year."

So are you saying tennis elbow isn't a repetitive motion injury? Or are you arguing that with my point that last both last year and the year before, Brady was somewhat hindered by injuries at the end of the season. Injuries that limited him in practice and if they occurred again this year would probably limit, at least to some extent, his ability to get much better as the season wears on?

In the past, the best patriots teams seemed to improve as the season wore on. Last year was the opposite. Some of that had to do with their schedule, and I imagine some of it had to do with injuries to players including Brady. I always figured the Patriots teams got better as the season progressed in large part because of the preparation the coaching staff did scouting other teams, having a team with a bunch of very good players so the damage caused by an injury were minimized by the next guy up being very good also, and the complexity of their defensive and offensive game plans increasing as the year went on. With the Bucs, Brady should certainly learn the playbook and his teammates as the season goes on, and should improve that way, however it could well be balanced out by nagging injuries that have hampered his practice time and play in the last few years. Plus Bruce Arians isn't Bill.

Ricky Sanders.

OK, OK, I know.
