NEW ARTICLE: N'Keal Harry Credits Cam Newton For Helping Build His Confidence Following Career Outing

Great article pretty heartwarming really. That was one tough play by Harry not many people would have come down with that reception with that egregious hit to the head. I know people like to point out his flaws but there's clearly something there that Cam is helping to bring out. Great to see!

I'd like to get hype for Harry, but back to me when Harry accomplishes literally anything of note.

Why yes, I do believe that was a shot over Brady's bow.

There are many other young receivers who are in, or came through, New England over the last few years who agree with this message.

Disclaimer: Brady is the GOAT. In Boston sports history, he's in the stratosphere of Russell, Orr, Yaz, Ortiz, of course. But if I had been a WR coming out of college, I'd have wanted nothing to do with the Patriots over the last few years.

While Brady is a better QB, cam newton might be a better QB for this current iteration of the patriots.
Why? Because he makes them feel all happy and warm inside and tells then their fumbles through the end zone are Ok and no big deal? I remember Bill saying the Patriots are built on competition and production and if you can't produce then you are gone. That is what Brady carried onto the field every single year which made us the winningest franchise in NFL history and six rings. Feelings be damned. That *used* to be the NE culture set down by Bill himself. Now it seems we have morphed into this let's make sure everyone feels good and happy, and it's Ok to lose as long as you made it close. We really did lose the Patriot Way when Brady left. It's stunning how quick.

Exactly. That's why we have a new QB. A guy with an 80 passer rating against good teams last year simply wasn't cutting it and Belichick rightfully didn't want to overpay for that kind of inferior production.

It's really stunning how disingenuous and dishonest this post is, making straw-mans of all the other thoughts/perspectives shared in this thread.

Your posts (that I've seen) over the past 4-5 days rather clearly indicate you're a Brady fan first, and a Patriots fan second (if at all anymore). That's fine, but spare us the anti-Newton, anti-Patriots, exclusively pro-Brady posts. Those of us who are more objective in our analysis, and are fans of the Patriots (the team, not the former QB), realize this current team appears to be darn good and that Newton is a helluva QB -- perhaps a better QB than Brady for this particular team, at this particular point in time, as others have said. We're excited about this season.

It's rather transparent that you do not want to see the Patriots succeed without Brady. You've been all but begging for their failure via your predictions.

The below few posts should clear things up:

The Pats get stomped tonight. It's ok. It is a rebuild year and we don't have any receivers. Seattle is for real and will compete for the SB.

After the Seahawks game:
I think what was lost in the game is that after Cam's horrible pick we were down 2 scores and on our way to being soundly put to bed and then Petey decides again to throw on third and one which opened the door for the comeback. Cam led a nice drive at the end but his clock management was horrible. And the last play was horrible with Cam making a terrible decision to run right when the Seattle defense was stacked over there waiting for it.

Before the Raiders game:
This is a MUST win and normally when it is a must win the Pats respond with a win but we are not in the Brady era anymore.

Calling Cam's int a "horrible pick" says it all. I bet when Brady noodle-armed that pass last December to who knows who he was throwing to when Rowe grabbed it and took it to the house seriously damaging our playoff prospects the Bradyites wouldn't call it a horrible pick. THey'd blame Edelman. Or Belichick. :haha::rofl:

No kidding. Who cares what he says at this point? Do something other than fumble through the end zone ...

Harry's on pace for 104 receptions and 888 yards this season (and given the progression, those are conservative numbers). Made an incredible 4th down catch where he nearly had his head taken off, made several 4th quarter catches, including a really good one that brought the ball to the 1 and gave the Patriots a chance to win - in coverage and under duress.

Edelman had a career game. He also dropped a couple of passes. Dropped a couple last week as well. And I just looked at an article from last year after 6 weeks talking about how many balls he had dropped. They should cut him.

If Harry was remotely as bad as people on this board whine, he wouldn't be out there. But then, all the same people did was ***** about Isaiah Wynn, who's is now elite at LT, or ***** about [insert running back here] because they watched the highlights from Saquan Barkley or Ezekiel Elliot.or something.

The guy had no preseason last year, then came in and was barely used, and then not thrown to at all by Brady. he had no real preseason again this year (he's ever had one) and he's growing before our eyes, but yeah, let's whine.

Relax. Breath. It's just a forum. No reason to be so serious. Opinions vary. Also stalking my posts is kind of creepy.

I'd wager a guess that I was about as relaxed making my post as you were when you made your post trashing Harry.

And no stalking necessary -- I've read your quoted posts in the prior days and simply went back and tracked them down. I've been keenly aware of your anti-Patriots, pro-Brady bias over the past week, so when I saw your completely illegitimate, BS post going after Harry, I decided to speak up again.

Yes, it is a forum, opinions vary. In that vein, my opinion varies from yours and I have every right to share my thoughts as they relate to your posts. I don't care for dishonest, disingenuous, intellectually lazy and biased arguments/opinions, and I'll call them out as long as I see them.

Perhaps most telling about your response is what it doesn't address, which is basically my entire point: you don't want to see the Patriots succeed without Brady because you are more attached to Brady than the Patriots, and therefore any success achieved by the Patriots independent of Brady undermines Brady's merit (in your eyes), hence why you're rooting against the Pats.

Can you address that assertion?

I'd wager - no. Nice ad hominem attack. By all means share away you intellectual superman! Happy stalking.
