Chargers QB Tyrod Taylor punctured lung from painkiller injection

Tyrod about to secure the bag whether he's starting or not

I read about that...that's unbelievable. Just awful. :(

Chargers gonna Charger.

Chargers gonna Charger.
And if you were a Patriots fan in the early 70s and part of the 80s this was the type of thing that happened here.. Not the same thing but a coach nearly electrocuted at his introductory press conference or toilets not working at a new stadium.. We forget when we as fans were fans of a team with the dark cloud over its head . When ownership couldnt afford players and went bankrupt financing a failed concert tour... Now we just have to worry about keeping the owner out of strip malls in Florida....

I've always found it ironic that the Patriots are the reason the Colts won the Super Bowl in 2006. If the Chargers beat the Patriots, they would have beat the Colts and then the Bears. That 2006 San Diego team was incredible and a lot better than the 2007 and 2008 teams that Manning lost to in the playoffs.

Thought it was the COVID

The Chargers medical staff never fails to always fail.

No, that would be the flu bug that ran through the Patriots' locker room before the Indy game.

I still can’t believe that the NFLPA has never negotiated a non affiliated physician for each team, or better yet, one employed by the NFLPA. Anyone who thinks that the team doctors are not comprised by the prestige and pay of the NFL club that employs them, you are kidding yourself.

The injected nerve is only 2mm from the lung. It happens

Imagine if it were Brady, who I thought was heading to the Chargers.

It shouldn't. If that is a recognized risk they should use an interventional radiologist. There will be lawyers.

Poor Taylor, he has gotten one raw deal after another and Herbert looked great and should have beaten the Chiefs so he will be in another team again next year.

The things dudes do in this league just to play. *SMH*

That is such a great scene. There's the drama about what's about to happen, how it will come out, and how ridiculous it is. And then, regardless of how it comes out, there's the drama about what happens after the boss finds out, and how the guys will handle that.

Anesthesiologist here. Interventional radiologist doing intercostal nerve blocks isn’t a thing.
