Hence three picks I can remember on throws like that:

1. SB 53
2. Week 17 last year
3. Week 1 this year
Cam had the same throw and pick vs Seattle. Except not only was his a bad throw to the sideline, he stared down the receiver as well. It happens. We just not used to see if ever happening with the GOAT. He has lost some speed on his fast ball. Bound to happen at ages 42/43. I am just surprised he can sling it as well as he can as consistently as he does. Amazing especially when you look at Brees who is cooked and is 2 years younger.

If this thread is going to live under the Patriots subforum it should be allowed to incorporate Patriots-related discussion.

If not for Tom Brady, this thread does not exist. Thus, conversation re: Tom Brady (including his time in NE) should be allowed to occur here.

If this is purely a Buccaneers' thread (meaning all attempts to discuss Tom Brady's time in NE - including comparisons between NE & TB - get shut-down) then it should be moved to a different subforum.

This isn't the freakin' public sphere. It's just fellow fans and posters asking some people not muck things up out of courtesy.

I dont know why where the threads winds up is such an issue. Does seeing it's existence upset people?

I enter this forum looking to discuss Patriots-related topics. Part of that interest is Tom Brady, how he's doing in Tampa, and relative comparisons between him, Newton, etc -- I find those discussions intriguing, and intuitively click on this thread hoping to have those discussions.

It's hit or miss; sometimes there's good discussion relevant to the Patriots, others times, not-so-much. If this is exclusively a Tampa Bay discussion thread, with no discussion of Brady's past / the Pats being allowed, then it should be placed where it belongs - outside of the Patriots' subforum.

I mean, by that logic, why bother moving threads ever - just have a massive mixing pot of all discussion topics.

Then, like I said above, why bother having any subforums and categorizations at all? Just have a massive melting pot of discussion topics.

A surefire way to make this more of a Tampa-exclusive thread, if that is the intent of (some of) its participants, is to move it to the appropriate subforum.

It's not a memory lane thread, and people have been posting about Patriots-related stuff in this thread without trolling. I know, because I've been one of those people.

Don't click on the thread. Problem solved.

I am enjoying the thread. I put the haters on ignore and it has been fine. Lots of good football talk and break downs. I will always follow Tom and care how he does so I am happy this thread exists so I can follow it here. I will never join a Bucs forum so this is perfect.

Wow. Strong comments from Brady. I do wonder if this season goes well for the Bucs if they offer to extend Brady next year and allow him to have a contract through age 45 or 46. That would be pretty cool and historic.

Brees is on his last legs, and Brady is going to annihilate the record books. Brady may or may not still be the same guy, but he sure looks physically capable of still playing the position at the pro level.

I've been tracking some Brady stats, and here are my favorite ones:

Most Wins (postseason included)
Brady is first with 250. Peyton Manning is second at 200. If Brady played the next four years at a high level, he could get to a nearly impossible 300.

Most Touchdowns (regular season)
Brees has 550 and Brady 544. This record is going down. I think Brady will top 600. Right now he has 617 if you include postseason and the number 700 isn't impossible.

Most Yards (postseason included)
Brady has nearly 86,000 passing yards (75,000 in regular season.) He has a pretty good chance to hit 100,000 passing yards in regular and postseason combined.

Nah

That's just you being you.

Coming from the guy who said Tom putting his house up for sale last year meant nothing and that he was some how going to helicopter his way from CT to Foxboro in 2020...how did that turn out?

Given that Tom had put up houses before? that turned out fine. I don't know where you're getting the helicopter from CT part, though, as I don't think that was me. Look, just step away from the thread. You're a crappy troll, and you obviously are only here to do that.

And, lastly, for someone who claims to have me on ignore, you sure do respond to a lot of my posts.

That pass to Fournette was a TD.

Without the 8 drops (or whatever the number is "officially" called, that's a blowout Bucs win, with Brady putting up the kind of numbers that makes him a strong candidate for player of the week.

On the other side, without Carroll going vapor lock on third down, the Patriots likely lost by double digits, and all the "OMG! CAM!" type stuff is absent from the forum, and "The Patriots can't play with the good teams" is what's being said and heard all week long.

And there we see 2 examples of things out of control of the "protagonists" that impact the appearance of how games went.

Well, I'm glad Brady is playing in your home state now...too bad you don't get to go to the games.

I’m starting to see Brady’s choice of Tampa Bay come into clearer focus...

  • Brees is done after this year. His arm is shot and has been very concerning for awhile, but now it is really bad. He was going to retire this offseason but Jan Brady’d into a return when the Saints were going to sign Tom.
  • Meanwhile the Saints have been all-in for the last few years kicking cap hits down the road. This team had their 3-4 year window (maybe they can compete one last year) and will be a bad team in the near future.
  • Atlanta and Carolina are not going to be good for a long time.
  • The NFC a few years ago was the much tougher conference. However, the AFC has gained Mahomes, Jackson, Watson, Allen, Herbert, and seen big improvement from Tannehill. Newton has switched conferences. Also have Carr, Mayfield, Rivers and Minshew. Not a lot of easy outs anymore. The NFC now has a lot more QB problems than the AFC.
Josh Allen? Really? Stop looking at his stats and start watching his tape these past two games. He plays hero ball. He's boom or bust. He's going to get hurt, fumble, throw a pick or airmail a throw. He lost a fumble against the Dolphins but they ruled forward progress. And let me tell you, the refs were trying to protect Josh Allen because he was being reckless as **** trying to break tackle after tackle.

The guy is going to get hurt. If he doesn't get hurt, he's going to fumble the ball or throw a pick.

Oh and I can't believe you included Captain Checkdown. Maybe let the season play out before you anoint him?

He wanted to go to New Orleans but because Brees decided to play one more year he had offers only from LAC or TB. It's only been 2 games, but so far, Brees' is QB Rating is significantly higher than Brady's. However, they both look shot to me TBH.

The NFC has Rodgers, Wilson, Ryan, Murray, while the AFC has Mahomes, Watson, and Jackson. I call that about even. Of his two choices, LAC or TB, TB made more sense because it's closer to Brazil and no Mahomes.

He's not even pretending to root for the Pats anymore; he's out of the closet as a full blown troll.

Arians finally came to his senses and gave Fournette the majority of the carries. Ronald Jones is trash. He was sure good at USC though.
