Week 3 pre-game discussion... we're on to Oakland...

I would've penciled this game as a guaranteed W, but seeing them against NO on MNF I was impressed by them. I still think we win, but it is definitely not going to be easy.

they didn't look that good against Carolina.......

Idk... I'm fairly low on both the Panthers and the Saints. (Matt Rhule is that guy who capitalizes the word "Process;" I thought NO's butt-whooping of the Bucs had more to do with turnovers than anything.)

Maybe they are really good, but I wouldn't be shocked if NE ends up being a reality check for the Raiders.

I'm off work this week so have had chance to stay up late and watch the twp night games this week. Thought the Saints were going to steamroller them in the first quarter but after that the Raiders sorted out their protection issues and Carr looked great. Jacobs is a great back but Waller could beat us on his own. Dude is a beast. Think we might see some Cover 0 looks to disguise who is matching up with him. Honestly, I'd be tempted to bracket him with Gilmore and maybe Williams all game.

Spreads too big

Line may have been driven up a tiny bit by the schedule gods being kind (this week) to be Pats. The Raiders played Monday night and have to travel to the east coast to play a 10am...uhhh a 1pm game.

Gruden admits he had the virus.

UNMASKED MEN

Both head coaches often did not wear masks on the sideline despite an edict earlier in the week to do so. A person with knowledge of the punishment told The Associated Press that at least three coaches have been fined $100,000 for violating the league's rules that they wear face coverings on the sideline.

Gruden apologized while revealing for the first time that he had contracted the coronavirus.

''I've had the virus. I'm doing my best,'' Gruden said. ''I'm very sensitive about it. I'm calling the plays. I just want to communicate in these situations. I apologize. If I get fined, I will have to pay the fine.''

Spread looks about right to me. Patriots are at home for a 1pm start, Raiders are coming off a MNF game in the Pacific time zone. Pats are also a better football team.

D needs to bounce back, this is as close to must win in week 2 as it gets with kc looming, lose and we are very possibly starting 1-3. Fortunately theyre on a short week

Raiders leading receivers are Darren Waller, a TE and Josh Jacobs, a RB. No receiver on that team has more than 5 receptions and 60 yards
Waller makes up for it as TE with 18 catches after 2 games.....

I don’t want to let Ruggs run free and beat NE deep. Those deep bombs Sunday - while good plays for Seattle - were killers and hard to watch...

I think the Raiders have a let down game after the grand opening of their new stadium last night

Especially given all the cries about how awesome the NO defense was after they beat Tampa.

We could also have let down after the Seattle game and losing on the last play.

Possible but I'd be surprised. Don't think Belichick will let that happen.

If the Pats are as good as we think, they'll beat the Raiders and fairly comfortably.

It will be the Raiders chance to shine, fall, back down to earth or somewhere in between.

That Jacobs back runs very nifty like. Can see why everyone is talking up the guy.

We’ll see, big chance for the Pats to prove they are getting better every game and that last week was on par for the Course.

Giddy excited for the game. Can’t wait.

You're quite the cheery one.

After declaring the Pats are in a rebuilding year, aren't any good, and were going to get sh*t-stomped by SEA Sunday night (all of which appears to be completely off-the-mark), you're now anticipating a letdown game.

How nice.
