A few weeks ago ..
- Im very curious about ST in particular. Again how's everyone's cardio in the 3th/4th after running a few live 50 yard sprints? A return or punt can open real quick and all a sudden now you're chasing someone east/west and head on a swivel for the first time in a year.
- How will the lack of physicality, getting "calloused" up, competition effect certain players & teams. Guys coming back from injury, rookies & the speed of the game - conditioning/cardio/football shape.
It's been evident guys are gassed. Early, late. Especially rookies. NFL speed is a different animal.
Obviously a few teams have had some kicking issues ...
Injuries were just insane. This is Bosa's 2nd in 5 years (SR HS) Just brutal for a guy that might make a run at the HOF with a healthy 8-10 career.
Same with SQB. He's supposed to be a cornerstone player. Now you're forced to make some hard decisions next year. Especially if you have a poor record. Still just devastating. Barkley & Guice both suffering big injuries. Both were two of the best backs I've ever seen coming out of college.
Lynn has some explaining to do in LAC. It's well known he loves TT. Just likes the player and person. Thought he got a raw deal. It's obvious.
Now I don't need an explanation as to why you want to sit Herbert. I get it. I honestly don't think hes ready but what do I know. Anyway good luck telling that to a fan base after yesterday. Cat's out the bag, they saw him perform. So every time TT plays it safe, won't throw a guy open or make a play. You're getting JH questions. Talk about bad luck yesterday.
Also how crazy would it be if they were in the running for Lawrence after drafting Herbert? I really can't wait to see the draft order. Some teams might be put in tough spots depending on who their QB is. There's only 3-5 QB's safe from removal in case you get #1 overall.
I personally would love to see the 49ers implode and let Kyle work with Lawrence.
I mentioned that BD in Buffalo would be mentioned with the likes of Roman and you can see it happening in Buffalo.
1)Allen looks good. Like he's playing very well. Pretty ball. Leading guys open. That offense is deep and versatile.
2)BD is doing exactly what Roman did in Balt. You have a core of a game-plan you're running every week but making small changes depending on opposing personnel. I mentioned that with Balt you'll see the same guys left unblocked over and over in the running game. Their so comfortable with what they do well and knowing who their opponent is they can take advantage of it. Creating matchups, # advantage... Buffalo is doing the same in different ways but BD deserves a lot of credit so far. Like Allen and that offense wasnt nearly as bad as some made them out to be. Especially Allen but BD kept pushing through and now you see the results. Still 14 games left but this wasnt out of nowhere. Those will be tough games. Most important of the entire year.
Minshew continues to exceed expectations. What a story he is. He has that offense moving. He's more than capable. If Jacksonville really doesn't want him in the end some team will get a player. He needs playmakers around him but again maybe in SF if things don't work out with Jimmy?
It's getting embarrassing watching some of these coaches drool over themselves. I'm sure they can rattle off some impressive stuff but results speak for themselves. Without mentioning names, it's just obvious some guys don't get it. Get some
new, fresh blood in there.
Speaking of new blood. Arizona is so fun to watch if you enjoy football. Like really fun. I'd love to see a them go far and shake things up.
Kyler Murray is legit if you haven't seen him/them yet. Lamar, Mahomes, Wilson get the clicks but this dude is nuts. He's just as much a threat as Jackson. Crazy acceleration. Wow is he exciting.
