Yoko? She was with Tom for thirteen years in New England.
This.... Like she was with Tom in NE as long as Peyton’s entire tenure in Indy. He went to 6 of his 9 SB’s while he was with her.

If you went to blame her, it’a not because she came into the picture. It’s because her husband were entering their 40’s and she probably was over her sensitive husband coming home upset over his boss after watching him succeed at the highest level more than anyone else.

Brady must be depressed considering he made all those "look at me working out" and "happy I'm a Buc" videos because "football is fun again." Keep polishing that new helmet Diva.

Who is a Buccaneer. Not a Patriot. This is a Patriots forum, not a Patriots history forum. I frankly don't care much one way or the other, but there's a perfectly valid argument for moving this thread (and other TB in TB related threads) out of a subforum related to Patriots discussion.

I know many have said this before, if you don't like the thread move on, you don't have to read or spend time on it. I do that all the time and so many others do too. I agree that TB12 is now a Buccaneer and this is a Pats forum, many folks here who are interested in following what/how the GOAT is doing and don't have to go searching for it in a sub forum or end up creating multiple threads for the same topic. Its good to have a single thread for anything related to Tom Brady.

Brady historically has done really well when he's being doubted and I think he will have a great game on Sunday. I think the Saints are clearly the class of that division and Brady has never been on a team that had to look up to anyone in his division before. Should be interesting.

I thought I was blinded by bias, but I saw that both Orlovsky and Florio had the same observation: the Saints have more worry about than the Bucs.

Drew Brees is really close to his end game. The entire gameplan was screens and dump offs. I think he threw 2-3 actual downfield passes all game while the rest were just misdirection plays. Then Michael Thomas suffered a high ankle sprain.

Saints defense looks pretty good but not a dominant force that will win games on its own.

I think the Bucs might very well win the division. The Saints aren‘t a superpower, and 11 wins could take that division.

I wouldve thought Arians wouldve built a better Offensive line for his 43 year old QB. Brady was taking some massive hits. I know thats Arians MO, but he was taking some massive hits.

Trent Williams went to SF for a 5th(this year) and a 3rd (next year) 4 days after they traded for Gronk.

Trent Williams is a $12m cap hit this year, Gronk is a $9m cap hit this year

The 5th round pick the 49ers used for Williams was 18 picks after the 4th round pick the Bucs used to trade for Gronk

Have issues on the OL. A good LT is available. Have the picks. Have the cap space. and what did Licht and Arians do? Decided to bring in Gronk when they had 2 TEs Brady could very easily work with

You are bringing in Tom Brady, which means you are all-in while he's there. You already have 2 solid TEs, your only issue on offense is the OL and a borderline all-pro OT was out there to be had but they go for a TE that has injury history and yes if he's in peak form he's great but it's a big question

I get the move was to bring in someone Brady was familiar with and Brady probably pushed for the move but the OL should have been the priority.

I'd put the odds of the Bucs going 0-2 after this week to be higher than them winning the division. The issues the Bucs have, from Brady's decline to the bad coaching don't allow you to have great success in the NFL. I don't care if you put Moss, prime Gronk, Rice, and Emmitt Smith with that team it wouldn't matter...well that would make it a no brainer nevermind lol.

I think the Saints defense at least looked a lot better than it has in years - most of Brady and the offense's production was in garbage time. I think that's a difference maker when it comes to the division.

Who have they added to make the unit better? I'm not a big believer in teams just suddenly "being better" based on their results of one game.

This is a reminder of how sophisticated the patriots are. The bucs are too undisciplined to even compare.their offensive scheme is terrible, Leftwitch isn’t as good as McDaniel. Bruce Arian isn’t accountable because he already told Tom everything he needed to know, there is no “we need to coach better” from him. Tom is Learning what it’s like to play for a terrible organization and horrible coach.

the challenge wont be for brady to adjust. he will. the challenge will be for brady to get people to play at his level of competitiveness. thats what BB bought to NE. he and brady were equally committed to make things happen and win. i dont know how the culture down in tampa will be from a coaching standpoint
The culture in Tampa is "girls just wanna have fun"

Well it was a high powered offense that they pretty much controlled most of the game. They did bring back Jenkins which helps a lot in the secondary.

That's fine, but this forum is divided into subforums for a reason.

and don't have to go searching for it in a sub forum

What a Sisyphean task that is: searching in a subforum. Woe is he who has to click on a different link!

or end up creating multiple threads for the same topic.

This thread hasn't prevented that.

That would have been his best story according to fans, but Tom’s NFL story is written by Tom. He sees his exercise regiment as a religion of some sort...I can’t get into the hokey stuff but this is what drives him. He wants to play for as long as possible. I imagine that considering he has already conquered everything imaginable in terms of accolades and championships, this is the final frontier for him.
It's all about TB12, Tom's after football life. The longer he plays well, the more he can sell

Look this discussion of "poor Brady always was undersupplied when it come to talent" has been had at least a dozen times too often in the last couple of years and I am simply not interested in it. From my point of view since Brady turned into Brady he almost always had a supporting cast that was good enough to get into the top 5 offense in the league. He also got to 6 SBs and won 3 titles. For the most part there is no reason to be upset with how the offense was handled over the course of many, many years.

When it comes to your crusade about the narratives that are attached to Brady and how difficult it is to earn his trust there is not much to say that has not been documented for over a decade by many people inside and outside the organization. If you think they are making things up about how demanding he is as a QB then just go on believing that.

It's documented but you can't document it. Huh.

I have always been saying in this thread that the level of success is unprecedented. Why would I be upset? I've been arguing the exact opposite of that.

It's documented but you can't document it. Huh.

It was even documented on this very board a few months back

If that is not enough just google for "Brady circle of trust" and knock yourself out for about a decade worth of articles.

Huh? He got to NINE SBs and won SIX titles.

What QB throws to WRs they don't trust?

My points are simple, the only evidence we have:

1. WRs playing really well with Brady then going on & not doing well elsewhere (Givens, Branch, Patten, Hogan, Lloyd, Caldwell, Gaffney, etc.)
2. Lesser WRs not being trusted by Brady nor any other QB in football because they weren't very good (Dobson, Price, Johnson, Jackson, etc.)
3. Rookie WRs who were trusted by Brady (Branch, Givens, Mitchell).
4. Washed up WRs who were not trusted by Brady nor by any other QB after they left New England (Ochocinco, Galloway, Hayes & a million others).
5. Very Good WRs who played really well with Brady & went on to play well elsewhere (Welker, Amendola, Cooks)

& here's the main point:

6. We have no evidence of a WR who was not trusted by Brady but who went on to play decently for another QB who trusted him.

Why am I wrong for concluding that the WRs Brady did not trust were really untrustworthy?
