i actually didnt miss TB today and i thought i would. Newton played well, but he needs to stop running or hes not going to last the season. The defense play well but they need a better pass rush, but that could come in time.

I agree that some of the runs seemed a bit over the top and something that could easily accumulate over a season into a problem. That being said this was the first competitive situation the QB and the coaches had this year so lets see how all of this looks after 4-5 games. Some of it might just be stuff they want to put on tape early to spread opponents thin when it comes to prep time.

If we are able to run an offense like the ravens do with Lamar Jackson, its not going to be a rebuilding year.
It was never going to be.

Yes, we do know that. Anyone can say “we don’t who’s walking through the door”. Can’t base how good they are on some imaginary deals. Ravens ran for more yards last year than any team in history and you’re saying we have better backs? WRs/TEs they are much better.

They also had the RPO with Jackson. I think Cam is a better QB overall than Jackson and the backs are equally as good as is the line.

That is my opinion though.

Curran and Ted Johnson on NBCSports posts game are clearly upset that the Pats won. Curran described the NE offense as " high school." If Tompa Boy loses, he'll be jumping off a bridge...

He has to keep running. It’s his game and he won’t be effective if he doesn’t run

The team has to run the ball, i didnt mean that newton shouldnt ever run the ball, but it should be as little as possible.

The O was very methodical, and at times, just flat out had their way. I’m hopeful that good health and more time together will lead to us seeing what this squad is really all about come mid-late October. As for the Defense, not a bad showing imo. Not incredible, but considering all of the opt outs and the extreme turnover of that unit, they really weren’t too bad. Let’s hope this is a sign of things to come and the trajectory is a positive one.

The lack of standout skill receiving position players is a bit worrisome. I’d like to see Asiasi and an active Keene get the ball in their hands more. Short, quick plays with some serious YAC potential. Cam can’t do it all without risking a mental or physical breakdown. Taylor looked pretty damn solid. Would like to see him get more opportunities.

Overall, a sloppy game. I expect as much every opening game, every year. This season is going to require more patience and a tempered expectation.

BTW, Cam needs to leave the bling in his locker and maybe guys won’t try to rip that **** off.

Oh, and second BTW. Felt great that KVN didn’t do jack ****. Made it all that much sweeter.

Great win, the team looks great!
Cam will keep getting better and better as the o-line gets accustomed to Cam.

Great in all aspects of the game. We won a game against a poor team, as we should.

IMO, we still need a LB and a WR.

Very happy with how the team came out and played well against a tough divisional opponent, only main blunder was the Harry turnover, but he is young and will keep getting better and learn.

I missed the end game drama, what happened with Cam?

well...we need a Harry replacement. He's a team killer. A soft loser. No place on a workman like team like this

Merge back with the other thread

Lol everyone here complaining on Harris like we have a bunch of better WRs that can replace him.
