Regarding the Betts trade, word might've come from ownership that he wasn't being re-signed, but it was the GM who made a deal that netted them only 60 cents on the dollar...

MLB owners and MLBPA suck. I kinda miss baseball on the radio, sitting outside on the deck with a beverage, but no, I don't miss watching it on TV. They could have been back June 1 and captured the entire sports landscape. Instead, they argued, *****ed, pointed fingers and whined. All set.

A) we have no idea if thats true. That will take years to figure out. Verdugo and Downs are very highly rated prospects.
B) said “best player” is a grade A+ ******* who whined “I want to go to FA as is my right” when asked about signing an extension in Boston. “I want to focus on the 2020 season.” Then, has a month of spring games and signs an extension immediately with the Dodgers.

And said “best” player just struck out, on an offspeed pitch away, which is his glaring weakness that only real baseball people understand. As did the Red Sox.

and it was very telling that he resigned with LA recently. I think the Sox had conversations and knew Betts was not coming back to Boston, thus the trade. Knowing all that in advance (and they knew...its how it works)they got a pretty good return.

Good thing, bet early on this year's irrelevance while the con men are still selling their confidence game, maybe win the draft or something.

I love watching my football (sometimes even baseball or hockey,) but we'd better all get used to Aussie rules football and tiny ballparks in Japan where midgets can hit 800 home runs.
