Cam and Harry

Newton has experience with big receivers that didn't necessarily need a ton of separation (Benjamin, Funchess). This could be a great pairing. Harry offers more after the catch than either of those two players.

move over William & Harry!

Bedard has pointed out that given the presence of Newton, the WRs will face very little in the way of double teams. He thinks that JE for one will have a great year assuming he stays healthy.

starting to get excited about this year. Hope they actually play games.

Thank you Cam for working to help these young bucks out. Please invite the TEs as well.

I saw this and immediately wanted to @ @captain stone and start a thread but I'm a coward.

Pet peeve time and dumb rant ...
Fuxkin christ and the old gods explode off your 1st step my man. Shoot and roll out of and onto your step. Fuxkin feet turn each time. Left & right I believe. Fuxkin years in college, not a rookie and was hustling at footwork camp this off-season. Enough is enough.

Their first time out. Let's relax with the critiques

Well, you can't say that the footwork we see in this video is something we have seen from N'Keal before. I don't know how that will transfer to the field, but he certainly has put work in. My other observation is how massive these men actually are are together. They are just trucks. Jules will look more like the smurf that he is.

Cam’s got to get rid of those Carolina cleats.

Our receivers outside of Edelman don't need to be doubled to be covered that was proven last year when they were 32nd in separation. And this notion that Cam is going to pull coverage is laughable. He has not been a dual threat in 3 seasons. He is not Lamar. He is not Wilson. He once was but not anymore hence why he was signed on June 28 on an incentive based deal.

Bizarre Brady didn’t do this last year.

Harry’s feet definitely look quicker. Not sure if it’ll be effective (I’m not an expert on form) but he isn’t plodding around like last year.

Me thinks you are talkin' straight out of your arse, if you are that critical of those limited practice reps. I like your draft evals and respect the work that you put into them but give me a break with this overly critical post, dude.

PS. The rest of us want less @captainstone, not more, so continue to your cowardice.

Wanting less of someone is cowardice, btw. Put them on your ignore list if it’s an issue for you.

This is basic stuff if you know the position. It's wasted movements for an already big guy. Yeah it's practice but isn't that when you're supposed be on point, sharpening your skills to translate to games?
These are things that have been hurting him since college. Those "draft evals" I wrote were some of the first to bring up his problems at the los. Arms should be tighter coming out of his breaks as well. He can't get cute with his feet bc of size but he could incorporate some hand, head, shoulder fakes off the line.

I know, I know, I'm just some guy on my couch. I shouldn't be weighing in on subjects like this unless I'm some reporter or coach.

If you look at :13 & :26 you can see the turn. Maybe :17 but I have to slow that down. Either way this is basic stuff even a ****** like me can pick up on.

So does anyone else wonder if the 43 second Cam/Harry passing film edited out dropped passes and overthrows?

I don’t. It’s hard for a professional QB to overthrow or under throw someone without pressure, unless they’re 3rd QB or something. I think they’re way more accurate than you think especially throwing without equipment on.
