Is there anyway we could sign Newton?

Did Belichick secretly have a stroke or something?

Means we've been fed a steaming pile where Stidham is concerned.

Stand by this take. They can be a SB contender if he’s healthy.

If his shoulder is toast Stidham will win the job regardless.

I think Cam would be a waste of money. He seems to be a little soft too. But then, I didn't like him when he first came into the league anyway.

Most SB's are won by non-running QB's and that hasn't changed much over the years. I think that same sentiment was expressed by a Giants LB to Cam when he was drafted.

I think Bill's fine with what he has at QB and isn't changing. One thing we all know with Bill though, is to expect the unexpected.

If you were starting to get excited that maybe Bill already thought Stidham was a starter then you can/should erase that excitement. But that also doesn't erase that Stidham is a third Rd pick who can still develope.

FWIW with each day post draft I was starting to believe Stidham was it. I'm much more excited by the prospects this year with Cam.

The question you should ask yourself is can this O with Cam be better than last years O?

Then why did Bill sign a veteran QB as many of have been expecting for months. For many of us, the only question has been which veteran Bill would sign.

For many of us, a roster of Stidham, Hoyer, and two UDFA's meant no competition, and just wasn't the kind of QB corp that Bill would go with.

Would have rather gone with Rivers or Dalton, if Newton's the alternative

I think they should definitely be better than last years. Cam is obviously lesser QB than the GOAT but it's like you previously mentioned about his play style. The lack of explosive receivers isn't as big of a problem. And Harry should be better.

It will be intriguing. If Cam has a bounce back year it makes us a playoff team at least.

Y'all do remember the exact game in which he jammed up that foot, don't you?

Let the conspiracy theories flow.

No it means that Pats fans once again put the cart ahead of the horse and made unrealistic assumptions about Stidham because they thought he was going to be the guy playing. Nobody every said Stidham was guaranteed to start or that he was the endgame.

Rivers has a similar play style to Brady. Rivers also had a big down year. Cam has a higher ceiling than Dalton it Rivers.

Cam has a play style that can open the run game and extend plays for a WR Corp that could really use that.

Rivers would have been great, I like his competitive nature a lot but I think he wanted more $$ than Cam.

Say what you want about Cam, but looks like winning matters to him because that deal is not, how you say, player friendly.

I don't think it's necessarily about winning as much as he's hoping he can show well and then get some actual bucks from someone next season.

Bobby & Billy do the league a solid and sign this feckin clown...and we still lose a 3rd-rounder?

The Patsies under the Early Bird and gruff ol' Mr Notgoat have now Officially become a Joke.
