NEW ARTICLE: Tampa Bay Buccaneers Reveal First Photographs Of Tom Brady In Team Uniforms

I've been away from the board for ages, but coming back to these images made me realize something that kind of surprised me.

It was absolutely a privilege to watch Tom Brady the quarterback play football for so many seasons. But over the past several years, Tom Brady the guy had become less and less likable to me. And it's almost a relief to not be rooting for him.
Just curious, Patchick, but what started to bother you about the guy? I'm really asking, btw, no sarcasm or judgement or motives.

You may already have played your last meaningful game Tommy Boy and it ended with a pick 6
You're an idiot.

Wish I can give this more winner medals. Brady changed and BB remained the same. If BB had embraced Brady a bit more than he did, Brady will have been willing to stay, especially after BB ****ed up that Super Bowl vs the Eagles. I think the change in Brady started there. He asked why they were doing all of this for after that loss and that game changed several players and they all had to go.
I am team BB. The rest is just white noise including my post which can be seen as criticizing him.
I get Brady's point of view, too. Belichick is the one guy in the organization he has the most in common with, on and maybe off the field. I am not saying that Tom wanted to be his pal, but maybe be treated as a peer or a partner in the process. Certainly, life experience wise, Brady is an older guy, he will have more in common with Bill when it comes to off the field stuff. How can a 22 year old kid, fresh out of college, build a rapport with Brady? Brady is a 40 year old man with a mature (ish) family and all that goes with that. Ex's, shared custody, outside business interests, books to write, islands to buy. The 22 year old kid has a 65" TV with a killer gaming system. The love of football is the only common denominator.

I 100% do not blame Bill, either. Why should he change what works? His way, with Brady, has made him successful. He should make a player part of the process? That doesn't work for him. I respect the fact that he stayed true.

Wouldn't it be fun to see the Bradyite meltdown when Stid has a good year and Brady crashes and burns in Tampa without Bill around.

I don't bear the guy any ill will. He's done more than anyone could have dreamed for the Patriots. With that said, I am sure I am going to laugh my ass off watching MNF when Evans zigs when he shoulda zagged and Brady goes all Dan Marino and shows him up.

Gronk on the other hand... We listened to his mouth and his retired/not retire/motocross/WWE chit for two years. I'll come around when he retires. Until then, He's Yoko Ono to me.

No ill will from me either. Won't go out of my way to cheer for his new team unless they're playing a team that a loss will help the Pats. Hilarious that a lot of the Bradyites are offended by that.

I appreciate the question, but I'm wary about kicking off arguments--especially since I suspect they were already done to death here while I was away. I'll just say that while Brady-bashing bashing by opposing fans used to be just sour grapes, I think it has turned into something more that he has brought on himself as a person.

Please get this crap off of the "Patriots Fan Forum" please.

That's right. In a couple of months it will be a year and a half since he helped us win our 6th SB in 18 years. Time to forget about the old fart.

That's not what they're offended about. Nice try shifting the goalposts.

I understand and I hear you.

Must admit I thank both of them for what they did when they were with the Pats but I dont really care what they look like in another uniform. However I will keep an eye on the Bucs games to see how they both perform (and I dont hope they fail)

Look at how some people on here talk about him now that he’s gone.....

So far I’ve seen

-he’s washed

-he’s a system QB and Belichick made him and can succeed with anybody

-he gave up on the team last year

-he’s caring more about himself and his other business ventures

So let’s keep things in perspective

I still agree with all these statements.
I think Brady will start out strong but if that O line can't protect Tom its going to be long frustrating year for Bucs fans.

This must be how it felt when SF fans saw Montana go to KC. It’s so weird to see that last name on that particular team’s jersey. The Bucs are just so ho-hum.

I hate that their "fans" are trolling us, as if Brady and Gronk are going to win 2-3 titles for them.

And yet you entered this thread that is clearly titled?
Yep, I did.

But notice that I didn't question the purpose of the thread's existence or complain that Brady/Gronk threads should not be allowed on the main forum.
