Tom Brady: an honest take

I Some here will likely root for him to fall flat in his face.

whats wrong with that? Is he wearing a Pats Uni anymore? No, he isn't. And, just as he said, he knew he wasn't coming back last year...

So you think, because of what he accomplished here, we are ungrateful bastards because we won't root for him wearing another teams colors? **** that.

Take that high horse of yours and ride off to Tampa and cheer him on. But spare me the attitude that we have to wish him the very best from here to eternity because of what he did...

I will cheer him on when he retires. When he gets elected to the HoF. I will vote for him for the NEP HOF.

Until he hangs up the cleats, there is no reason to root for him while he's wearing anything but a Patriots Jersey.

Holy fk. I guess Tom Brady was never here and had never meant a thing to the Pats and their fans.....must have been a 20 year dream I guess.

What he did over 20 years for the Patriots means that we don't get to criticize him for anything? How is his career at all relevant in terms of the activity of his corporation?

You're OK with him repackaging vitamins that can be purchased for less than half of what he is charging, in order to take advantage misinformed and/or naive people in the middle of a pandemic, when so many are struggling to keep their heads above water financially?

Its been one thing after the other since he left. Im not just referring to your post

I would think the sales price of the Patriots would be around 6 billion dollars.
Would the Kraft family sell? Not until Jonathan passes away.
Jonathan could buy a ballet company now if he wanted, so no.

As rich as Brady and his wife are, they are millionaires ... owners are billionaires... whole different ballgame there rabbit

Well, they're currently pushing $600 million net worth, so they aren't that far off.

Brady is the enemy now. No different than Mahomes, Rodgers, Rivers, Brees, Lamar or any other rival QB. I’ll cheer for them if their success helps my team or if they’re playing a team I hate, against them if vice versa but I won’t go out of my way to do that. I’ll cheer as loudly as anyone else for Tom when he retires but not till then.

Feels like some of the Bradyites around here are all offended that we aren’t Bucs fans now. o_O

TB and BB gave us the best span of football a fan can ever imagine. The run that they had will never be duplicated. I do not think there is anything wrong for hoping Tom succeeds in his next endeavor and for us to cheer for the Patriots at the same time. Obviously if push comes to shove I'm sure most of us would root for the Patriots if they ever faced of, but there is a lack of gratefulness to TB from a lot of my fellow posters here.

You sound like a whiny pats fan whose upset because he left. I hope he has a career year in tompa bay. He could have been back but i feel bill wanted to go a different direction. He doesn’t have to retire because you want him to retire. His goal was always to play till he’s close to 45.

Too much of a narrow perspective for me. Sure Im a Pats fans first but I like the game too much limit my experience.....especially hard to turn off routing for a guy that was so key in the dynasty. Do you have anyone on any other team that you pull for or like watching play?

I think the TB12 / Guerrero criticism deserves its own section and shouldn't be pushed in to the same pile as the criticism he has been receiving as a player since he left. People have been pointing out the snake oil salesman situation for years already.

I am really curious how TB12 in Foxboro will be used this year. I don't think he can just outright move it right after changing teams but I wouldn't be surprised if it disappears from the stadium complex in the next 3-5 years.

Maybe Kraft can find a masseuse joint that would rent that space afterwards. Or an exotic flower shop.

Go root for Tampa then.

Pats4life my ass

You know you can root for someone besides rooting for your own team especially a guy who was a major part in six super bowls but now whiny fans wanna act like he’s a 43 year old bum who just left and will easily be replaced. I will root for the new look pats with stidham but at the same time time root for the guy that brung championship and glory to this franchise. I’m not bitter like some here.

No. I really don't. I don't see a point in rooting for players on other teams.

Those other teams, other players, other fans have been crapping all over New England for near 20 years.... What's the point in rooting for them?

Really? The bucs? I would get it a little if he had gone to a team like the colts or buffalo. Bucs doesn’t do it for me. He’s in the nfc. We won so all the crapping doesn’t hold any weight.

Oh please.

Don't break your arm patting yourself on the back because you are so much better than the "bitter" fans out there champ.

You say that then you haven't been paying attention for the past 20 years... Way to go #phonyfan

No that's not why they're offended Silly Billy 1. But that's a nice goal post shifting position.

The only phony fan here is you. You think drew bledsoe just left the pats. It’s tom terrific. I’m looking forward to seeing what jarrett stidham can do but big shoes to fill. If you’re bothered by other franchises being sore losers than idk what to tell you. Nobody likes a consistent winner.

How about you tell me you are gonna go hit up the tampa forums... act all buddy buddy... let em know how special Brady is... that they are now your "second" team... sound about right champ?

As for bledsoe, love the guy... saw every single game he played in New England... Didn't cheer him on though when he played for the bill and cowpokes
