Setting Stidham up for Success

I was ready to bash Chris Simms for his opinion on AFC East QBs but he rated Stid 2nd ahead of Sammy and Tua.

So Chris you get a pass but I'm sure you will be hearing from Jet fans.

I don't know which is funnier, his opinion or your strong agreement.

I still think that Josh Allen sucks too...His 2nd-half "performance" in the PO loss at Houston was a disgrace.

On Friday I was listening to WEEI AM and I heard someone who sounded like Curan talking about Pats fans not coming to watch the Patriots anymore because Brady is gone. He sounded so bitter about the situation, I can't find the sound bite. I think it was around 0830 ishhh. Does anybody know what program(original and not the GHS) Curan was actually talking on? He seems to insult BB and wants to see him fail.

Seems like a kid having to deal with a parents divorce.

Curran has joined with the Brady unfairly treated by BB group so he needs the Pats to fail so that his opinion wins.

I hate to see TC comment about fans not showing up because of their performance as opposed to the virus.

I see Brian Lewerke as someone who will be on the heals on Stidham and if Stidham does not cut it, or gets hurt, I can see Lewerke coming in and taking the job. Why he completely got off most teams draft boards will be the next big mystery. This is a fighter and a tough player. Maybe it could be medical, he had a nasty shoulder injury and there was some concern there, but I am looking forward to the QB competition.
He does have the wobbles though.
In saying all of this, I have become a big Stid fan this quarantine. I was aware of him way back in 2014-2015. I was in Dallas and I remember seeing an ad for Friday night football that said the next Peyton Manning was playing in Stephenville. I wanted to go but the tickets to the event was too costly for my taste at the time. There are some good TV out there about Kings of Friday night football in Texas where they showed him in high school. Great great production.

The next time I heard from Stid was when the Baylor investigation started. I felt for him and thought that will ruin him. He persevered and found himself at Auburn, the ending was not good, but I have gone back and watched games I could find of him during this quarantine and I feel much better about our QB. It appears BB believes in him too and that itself should be enough for me.

Who needs Darius Slayton (who would've made Stid's transition to starter MUCH easier) when we can draft a feckin Punter (who choked in the POs) and an under-achieving 3-Tech (who now has a concussion history)?
