Draft thoughts ...

Yes, just like the majority on this board. He had Terrell draft at #7 and Seymour at 20, with the patriots drafting OT Kenyatta Walker.
Walker was the only choice other than Seymour that had any chance once Justin smith went.

Kiper basically invented the self-made draft pundit. The guy was like begging college coaches for tape in 1980 and grinding it. Teams were relying on his assessments for players they knew nothing about. The modern draft owes a lot to him. He's been made obsolete by his own success.

I'm surprised it ever was but people don't like to go against the grain challenge narratives.

Every team drafts for need though. Some more than others but Bill definitely drafts when value meets need imo. You can look at his older drafts, recent ones. Hard to ignore.
And trading up or down is to make value meet need.
If the bpa available at 23 isn’t filling a need you trade down. If a guy who fills the need way better than the next guy available and is there at 17 you go up and get him.
Trading makes need match up with value.

No WRs taken; that is a GOOD THING! BB cannot be trusted to draft a WR. This is a solid draft.
I like it!

BB will find some WRs through trades or the waiver wire....

Yup, Bill will acquire another WR or two. I would likely to see one at Sanu's level.

TOP THREE WIDE RECEIVERS - MORE OR LESS PRODUCTION THAN 2019?

Edelman
Harry
Sanu

Because of their injuries, I would expect more from each one. Also, Harry and Sanu know the system better.

BACKUP WIDE RECEIVERS - MORE OR LESS PRODUCTION
Last year we had Dorsett and Gunner (and Gordon and AB for awhile).

I expect more from Byrd, Lee, Thomas and/or whoever Bill acquires (probably 2-3 more). I expect Bill to use a 2nd or 3rd for one of the receivers.

Idc about Kiper but this is true. He's like Mayweather, you tune in to hate him. And folks haven't figured out that "hating" these guys only prompts them up higher. They don't care about being right bc no one calls them out or cares to remember. Much easier and more fun to make fun of his hair. Kiper does know his stuff, he's not dumb. I would like to see how good he really is though.
Lol right. Only difference is Mayweather is actually great at what he does. Kiper isn’t even good :D

@captain stone What are you confused about bruh? Mayweather is a great boxer. No debate.
Not Mayweather...but Kiper is indeed a good analyst - not the Best perhaps - I preferred one of his earlier contemporaries Joel Buchsbaum back then - but people have ragged on him over the years because of his hair & the confidence with which he speaks...that scene during the 1994 draft when he belittles - correctly - the Indy Clots picks is a classic...

I prefer Louis Riddick and Greg Cosell over Kiper.

Slightly OT:

Preach..lol

Phila and GB fired shots at their QB's and I love. Rodgers won't speak 10 words to Love when he doesn't have to. I like Wentz and wouldn't mind Bill taking on one of these next year.

GB definitely put a expiration date on Rodgers. GB fans are not happy haha but that team is changing.

2020 Rogers/Love is the Exact Same scenario as 2005 Favre/Rogers...Question now becomes: Will Rogers make it a full 3 more seasons as Favre did before the change takes place?

Maybe 30 years ago, but not in the last 15. He is just one of a bunch of people making guesses.

I've always thought that Felger and Mazz show just spewed provocative things to get ratings but I've come to realize that all three of the guys on that show are dumb, including Felger, and just have no idea what they're talking about.

Today they are trying to make the argument that BB traded out of the first round just to stick it to the fans who hate it when he trades out of the first round, took a DB in the second round just because everyone has been criticizing him for his second round DB picks and didn't take a WR just to stick it to Brady and intimate that "it wasn't the receivers it was you" (ie. passed on a receiver(s) he normally would have taken just to spite Brady).

It's absolutely absurd to actually believe that BB makes player personnel choices based upon what anyone else thinks or how they will respond to the pick. They have become unlistenable, although still not as unlistenable as that miserable puke Adam Jones.

It is offensive to me as a sports fan that they actually make no effort at all to educate themselves about the sports they are covering. Given that all sports are shut down right now, you would think that and they would take their job seriously and use all of that extra time during the day and in the evening, when they typically would've been watching other sports, to do some research about the potential draftees. How hard is it to have the station buy you a copy of two of the better draft guides and learn in detail about a couple of the positions every week. It makes me sick that these people are making good money despite having no intimate knowledge about any of the sports they are paid to talk about.
its all show biz
