This is where I remind Jemele that nobody cares what she thinks.

There is virtually no arm of the federal government left that exists in as extensive a form as with presidents like Obama or even Reagan with all the recent cuts. So I'm not sure where all this red tape symptomatic of bureaucracy is that you claim is getting in the way of a response by the states. At this point, I'd wager states are increasingly wondering what the point of "AMERICA" is as an idea when they have to do all the heavy lifting.

If anything this crisis may start to beg the question about whether this country and its people would be better off dividing into 3-4 separate countries. The federal government is corrupt, ineffective, and lacking in any care for the individual states. I'm just not sure what the upside is of these 50 states (as well as territories) being under the same umbrella when that umbrella is becoming more frequently a threat to the safety of the states than any foreign power.

Not sure if this is a serious post or not, but national defense should pretty much end any conversation on that point.

Sure, since a large number of cargo planes are 767s, he should have *not* taken his 767 and should have rented a 767 to fly the cargo instead of flying their 767. They just wanted to show it off... makes perfect sense

There's more at play here than just politics. Hill has a strong dislike for Boston sports. She once compared rooting for the Celtics to thinking Hitler was a victim and hoping for the Russians to nuke the US. If Woody Johnson had done something similar, she probably wouldn't have commented on it, even though Johnson is probably a bigger political "villain" by her standards. Adding her sports hatred to her political disagreements didn't allow to let the story pass without finding a negative angle.

It was a serious point. Our national defense is great against armies. But when we could lose more than 300,000+ because of the inaction and disinformation of the federal government, one has to begin wondering whether we are all safer as the result of being a military power.

What's even more frightening is that all of our enemies now have a playbook of how to defeat us. It isn't through bombs or missiles. It is through propaganda and viruses that tear apart our communities. Propaganda and viruses that the federal government is slow and uninterested in dealing with.

It was meant to be hyperbole to show how thankful I am. My father and his employees take risks every day they are at the facility and I am thankful they will be getting much needed supplies.

I have been rooting for the Patriots my whole life, and am a diehard fan.

They stopped in Chicago to retrofit the plane to be able to handle the cargo. I presume that means they took the seats out.
