I am deeply suspicious of Arians' coaching "talent." (I can't find the direct quote, but I remember Arians one time calling himself a great coach -- which, as a Patriots fan, seems really weird.)

Obviously I have on clue what really goes on behind the scenes, but whenever I see Arians getting buried with praise for coaching Peyton, Big Ben, Luck and Palmer, I can't help but wonder: maybe it's the other way around, and lucking into so many quality QBs has inflated his reputation. (And maybe it's about to happen again.)

In that list, there are three #1 overall picks and a #11 pick (Roethlisberger.) Yes, there are QBs taken in the first round who are busts, but Arians had some great talent to work with. When he was in Arizona, he never developed a successor to Palmer. You'd think a "QB Whisperer" would have found a mid-to-late round talent and guided them to being an effective starter. Instead, when Palmer was out, they really struggled.

Texans board is interestingly for trading Watson if he doesn't want to be there.
BB should absolutely be on the phone with OB

This is the Texans. O'Brien has probably called us offering Watson for two practice squad players and a quart of lobster bisque.

Would a Jordan Richards game worn jersey seal the deal?

So Tom didn’t spill the beans about the cheatriots and how bill ordered the footballs deflated and taping the bengals and bugging locker rooms. Huh. Must have been part of the payoffs under the table that keep Brady’s salary low and violate the salary cap.

I will monitor the frequency of Brady threads now that he's no longer on the team.

Arians isn’t Belichick but he isn’t terrible strategy wise either. His issue is relationships. It amuses me that people talk about coaching decisions BB makes as being about his arrogance/ego when everyone who has spoken about BB thinks he’s as ego-free as they come. Arians, on the other hand, is an egomaniac. For as much as he’s heralded as the QB whisperer, he’s directed the adulation towards himself and throws players under the bus. It’ll be interesting to see how Brady handles that when it rears its ugly head.

Brady will handle anything that comes his way. The only thing that will stop him is injury or age.

I look forward to seeing Brady have more of a career, even if it's in TB. Maybe he can teach Arians and the players something.

I hope we can keep the winning season streak alive. I think we will.

As for Brady presser - he gone. Not that interested.

Yeah. I only heard a few sound bites. It's not like he's done anything for us lately anyway. It'been more than a year since he helped us win our/his 6th SB.

Yep. All the gratitude in the world for TB, and best wishes for his future endeavors, but I was thoroughly seduced back in '85, so I'm all about the laundry til my dying day.

My condolences

I vote for an aggregate "All Things Brady" thread here rather than thread after thread of "OT: Brady... blah blah"

It's the offseason, and a dead season everywhere. If there's a million Brady threads, that shouldn't pose a problem.

If the lobster bisque is from Legal I don't make the deal.

In 2021 brady gets a chance to beat the only team he has never defeated in his nfl career.

it just feels wrong!
