McCourty twins thoughts on Stidham

I am calling him Stiddy from now on. Why is it that the players love stiddy, but not all the fans?
Hopefully because he's the real deal. However most veterans will publicly support their younger teammates - although I can think of an exception.

The leaders are putting their arm around his shoulders. He'll be the starter.

Another puff piece has convinced another fan who our starter will be in March.

Stid the stud... ?

After he demonstrates the toughness, competitiveness, clutch ability, etc..

Stud-arm. Nuff said.

I don’t think the article is the only indication that this is the direction NE is headed.

We’ll see.

We don't know Stidham yet. He's barely played. Simple as that.

No kidding but the Mccourty twins have seen him play and have a much better insight than any of us. Its good to hear their thoughts.

How about... Bus ? Bus-stid. For being Brady clone. ;)

Football players know football players. I bet Ty Law and Lawyer Molloy had an idea that Brady was going to pretty good back in the day.

My biggest optimism comes from the fact that BB has seemingly decided to go with him as the starter. It may ultimately prove to be a mistake but BB obviously knows him better than anyone else and am not sure why he'd basically torpedo the 2020 season without having a fair amount of confidence in him. Now if I see, "Pats sign Dalton" my opinion will significantly shift.

Not one to read between the lines or over-hype too much..... but.........

“Twins Endorse”
“Stid Vicious Toys with Boogiemen”
“Brady Afraid to Compete vs Stid the Kid”
“Bill Does It Again”

Prepare another space in Canton!

McCourty twins offer thoughts on Tom Brady replacements

Because to date he had thrown one TD - to the other team.:)

Little is known about him, for better or worse. The same would be said of Brady in 2001. I was supposed to be at the Colts game in Brady's first start, and I can assure you the general feeling was not "happy days are here again".

All you can do is hope he is up to the challenge, and everyone else elevates their games to help.

I feel bad for Stidham. Besides replacing Brady, he's replacing Brady after management felt he is a better option than Brady. That's pressure on top of pressure to perform.

I hope he can do it. Rodgers replaced Favre in a similar situation. Young replaced Montana. Sometimes coaches know what they have when we don't.
