Basically anyone who gets to go home at the end of the day is the infection vector, but something inside me suggests you aren't asking this question in good faith so whatever.

My point is, the prisoners are victims of circumstance. They certainly wont be given it to them self.

But when people in Italy are being left out in the dark to die by selection it's not a hard stretch to believe that our own government would do the same if it had to.

Yeah but when an Insurance Co. refuses to pay for someone's treatment that's just FREEDUMB

If you can't be bothered to think about what you post or reasonably consider what I have, what's the point of engaging?

Jails are inherently unsafe places, understaffed prisons and jails all the more so. As more correctional officers are unable to perform their function the unsafe situation will only become more exacerbated with fewer and fewer staff to handle the inmate population.

Social distancing is an impossibility in low to medium security gen pop or haven't you seen any video from the barracks style set up at county jails? Might as well be a petri dish. Why would LMFAO why would I let anyone out? Completing their sentences is going to let the people we are talking about out anyway. All I am doing is agreeing with the idea that letting short timers out early not only eases the burden on short staffed facilities but just maybe gets them out of there before they contract COVID19 in an ideal breeding ground for it and are then released to resume contact with society as carriers.

Who, exactly, does want the virus? Honestly man WTH...

You're being obtuse. Let them stay where they belong and let the dominos fall where they fall.

I know the health of felons are not your first priority so cut the preaching.

Let's not forget to add the recently incarcerated or those who are about to be to that list

This is a fork in the road that has nothing to do with anything. I'm not hear telling anyone that insurance companies are on our side.

What do you mean what? The prisoners didnt get up and go out and get them this disease.

They wouldnt catch this disease in prison if they werent in prison in the first place.

Those are are their unjustly are catching a bad break that has nothing to do with what I've been saying.

Dude. At least have enough balls to take a stance. I can't deal with this half-ass, angelically-above-it-all nonsense when we're talking about very real scenarios that are impacting people in capitalist and socialist states.

I'm so damn confused.

If they already have it then letting them out to avoid getting it is moot.

So what again is the point

Hah. Yeah. Bad break. Whatcha gonna do, right? Gotta break a few eggs! Ends justify the means!

If a few innocent people get screwed over I'm sure that's just A-OK, peachy fine. Let's not even bother about considering them, what's more important is that we punish thugs, right?

My stance is simple.

Prisoners belong in prison.

If I have tk choose between a prisoner living and my loved ones i choose my loved ones.

Have the balls to admit you feel the same way.

If you dont then i feel bad for your loved ones.

What are you talking about?

Were letting real prisoners out of prison because maybe they're innocent? What fantasy world does that happen in.

I am being as declarative and concise as I can be, stating my reasoning at each point. Please educate me as to what you find obtuse in my posts or at the very least try arguing against a single point I have made.

You're damn right the health of felons isn't my first priority. And while I am not heartlessly unconcerned about it my posts haven't addressed it except as it impacts others. No preaching here, cold hard concern about the rest of us. That clerk doing his 10 days in county for his DWI? He's going to be stocking our grocery shelves when he gets out.

So do I, the longer soon to be released prisoners are held in jail the greater the risk they pose when they get out.

This isn’t about the guy in 10 days for a DWI. Let’s be real here.

What person goes to prison for a dwi?

I'm talking about prison and not county jail or whatever.

I promise you I'm not heartless. I do not believe in the death penalty.

I just simply am stating that if it came to it my priority wouldnt be those in prison with felony records.

Did you read the proposal being discussed in our state? It includes county jails.

Unfortunately, folks like the corrupt ACLU are more concerned with aiding criminals than they are defending Americans who chose to live an honest life yet are in hard times.

As a rule I have always respected your posts. Did you read what Maine is considering? We are talking about county jails as well as nonviolent offenders at the drag end of their sentences.

I am fine with it if its legitimately gonna help save lives.

I dont know how this spiraled out of control. Perhaps I'm just too direct and blunt.

No one should die from this virus. If I havent made that clear then let me do so now.
