2020 mock drafts: what the pundits think

https://patriotswire.usatoday.com/2020/03/04/patriots-2020-mock-draft-what-happens-if-tom-brady-leaves/

1. Kenneth Murray, LB, Oklahoma
2 [trade two 3s]. Jake Fromm, QB, Georgia
3. Chase Claypool, WR, Notre Dame
4a. Leki Fotu, DL, Utah
4b. Harrison Bryant, TE, Florida Atlantic [Both are listed as "from CHI"??]
5(!) [trade two 6s]. Chris Finke, WR, Notre Dame
6a. Derrek Tuszka, EDGE, North Dakota State
6b. Rodrigo Blankenship, K, Georgia
7a. Shyheim Carter, DB, Alabama
7b. John Molchon, OL, Boise State
7c. Terence Steele, OL, Texas Tech

I don‘t like the Fromm Pick. His Accuracy and arm strength did not look well. Would rather try to get McDonald or however the Name is from the Hawaii QB is in the later rounds and roll with Stidham or a vet QB

Fair complaint (and, yeah, the Hawaii QB is Cole McDonald).

But I think Murray Fotu and Bryant are solide picks. Would rather go for a DT who has more pass rush upside but Fotu as a good run defender is alright.

Stidhams release could improve with confidence in the system and confidence in his receivers.
He throws a great ball but if you are BB and think Love could be a special talent you make that pick even if another position is weaker for a year or 2.
My preference is sign Mariota And let him and Jarret fight it out
I agree with the Love part of your post, not a Mariota fan, I don't think he automatically becomes a good QB all of a sudden. He is who he is, rather stay away from him.

I for one would be pretty happy if our draft went this way. Not a HUGE Fromm fan, but he's solid to good. I think people need to watch more film on him, the arm comments really are 100% accurate, I saw one play where he threw a bomb to Mecole Hardman, 50 yards in the air, perfectly placed, Hardman didn't have to slow down at all.

I really like Harrison Bryant, but I really hope they double dip at TE. Finke is a sneaky prospect, not bad.

REALLY love Murray and Claypool going to the Pats.

replace Fromm with Davis of Alabama and I am totally on board with this draft.

Seven-Round 2020 NFL Mock Draft: Jerry Jeudy lands outside Top 10, Colts trade back into Round 1 for a QB

Chris Trapasso, one of the worst pundits out there, throws up a seven-rounder of his own. And this is vintage Trapasso.

Kinlaw @ 26????? Pats would be crazy to pass on him if he were there at 23.

I like Uche, Trautman and Hill. But i would not be happy with McKinney and Hurts. No O-Line until the later rounds is a mistake. Would like to replace them both with a DT and OL and in the later rounds a Safety.

The only thing I'll say about OL is In Scar I Trust. He may be retired, but he's still buying the groceries.

Yeah, but who knows about the condition of Andrews Cajuste and Froholdt next season, regarding our FA's Thuney and Karras..I just think that we really need to boost our Line to dominate and finally be able to run the football and score 1st and short..

Belichick, Caserio, and Scar would know, I would hope. :)

2020 NFL Mock Draft: Four-round projections

Four-rounder. Emphasis mine,

23. New England (12-4) — Justin Herbert, QB, Oregon, Sr.

Life after Tom Brady begins now. I’m a fan of Jarrett Stidham, but I’d be shocked if the Patriots didn’t add some competition. Herbert has all the physical attributes (prototypical size and elite arm talent) the position requires, but consistency has been his bane. This is where he should go, but he’ll likely be drafted much higher because demand ALWAYS beats quality when it comes to quarterbacks in the draft. Top needs: TE, OG, LB

87. New England — Adam Trautman, TE, Dayton, Sr.
98. New England — Terrell Burgess, S, Utah, Sr.
100. New England — Matthew Peart, OT, UConn, Sr.
125. New England from Chicago — Van Jefferson, WR, Florida, Sr.

Trautman and Jefferson are good additions to our Offense.
Our Defense would be a bust, cause I don't think the FA's we sign and late round Picks are enough..
