Will anyone watch the XFL this weekend?

Would you guys watch if it there was a team affiliated with the Patriots? Like a feeder team of guys who might be in camp next year? I think I would.

The Pats already have a 'feeder' team. If you're not already, you may want to start following Rutgers football :D

As much as it pains me to say, it is no longer 2013 (the last time we took a Rutgers guy in the draft).

The draft isn't the only way Rutgers guys find their way to the Pats. ;)

Football fatigue + xfl = bad timing

From the tone of the responses, it sounds like this league’s got... no chance. No chance in Hell.
Lol well using that logic with our gameday threads, New England would have lost every game for the past few seasons.

I’m actually surprised at how many say they’re going to be watching it. I don’t think the demand will be nearly enough the entity to stick around, but it should at least do better than the last iteration, I would guess.

It's on espn in the uk so will probably record and watch one of the games , more so out of curiosity as to how good a standard it will be.

Nice! First down DC

Not a bad product so far. Better than the other leagues that folded, seems like.

I like the new kickoff rules, actually. It does solve the issue of the extreme danger from high end collisions on the kickoff but also makes it an exciting play. (Touchbacks are a penalty, so there's always a runback.) Much better than the NFL!

This sideline guy is pretty good.

These conversion rules looks like I’m watching the movie “Baseketball.”

The PAT is much better than extra point kicks too. I don't know, I think the rule changes from the NFL are pretty good. (Not sure about just needing one foot for a catch a la NCAA or never cutting off coach-QB comms though.)

This is good football so far.

I'm going to watch all 4 games this weekend then decide which team gets my support this season.

God, I love football. It helps that I find basketball as exciting as watching mold grow. And the NHL playoffs have not begun.

It’s sad when these announcers are 10x better than your prime time NFL ESPN announcers Booger and Tessitore. I didn’t know Levy did PBP. He seems very comfortable.

Levy's a hockey guy, he was one of ESPN's hockey PBP guys back when they broadcasted games. He was always very good at it. Generally think hockey produces the best PBP guys because of how fast it is. Suspect Jack Edwards would call a great football game too.

Still don’t think the league sees another season but looks better than the AAF and XFL1.0

It will. McMahon has a ton of money to burn and he wants to compete with the NFL. That makes this league different than the AAF. The product is also way better. He’ll give it a couples seasons at least so it can develop a decent fanbase.
