"Spygate 2.0" update: NFL still investigating

My best guess is that the NYNFL is contacting all 31 other teams to see if the Pats did some sort of scouting documentary in their stadium...

That should take no more than a half a day to accomplish. The length of time this has taken is absurd.

So either...

The NFL knows there's nothing and they're just hoping people forget about it, or the NFL knows there's nothing but they're trying desperately to dig stuff up.

Yes, or no?

Digging stuff up is all they appear to be able to do. When there is an actual infraction (Ray Rice, knocking his gf out Brett Favre **** pic, Peyton HGH) they either fail to take the shovel out of the shed to start digging or lose the evidence.

"...we have a responsibility to partners, we have a responsibility to fans understand all of what happened, and to make sure that something that we don’t know happened didn’t happen."

Man I wish George Carlin was around to react to that. Actually I wish he were still around reacting to most everything.

It usually doesn't take the NFL this long to fabricate evidence

They are just so thrown off because they were really excited about nailing the Patriots before the Super Bowl, thinking the Patriots would be in it. Goodell must be furious. Maybe they’ll see if Brady re-signs and then drop the nuke in the wake of that. Otherwise this just blue balls for the NYFL.

This is truly ridiculous. It’s obvious the Pats football Ops had nothing to do with this. If the penalty is anything more than a slap on the wrist, Goodell will be exposed as a complete fraud,

Given that even his ball washers at ESPN are calling deflate gate a witch hunt, you would think he’d learn his lesson.

You’d also think Goodell would wake up, look at the TV ratings, and realize the Patriots are good for business. Unfairly penalizing the team every few years is not good for the NFLs bottom line.

The issue is that Article 46 applies to players. Roger is having a hard accepting that he has to play by the usual rules of due process, etc. He's confused like a spoiled child who was just told they couldn't have something for the first time in their life.

So nothing happening between tomorrow and end of month.

Odds this story kicks in about February 10th or so, to keep NFL relevant.

He didn't really reference deflategate. He merely said deflating footballs is illegal, which it is.

No, having the balls below a certain pressure level is illegal.

No, you are not allowed to deflate footballs after referee inspection...period. It doens't matter whether the balls are below or above the threshold.

This is crazy talk.

Edit:. Misread previous post. I'm the crazy talker.

It's the rule. Once the footballs pass referee inspection, no one can deflate or inflate them. Even if the ball looks like it's a watermelon.

Gotta pass the bill to know whats in it...

Sorry man. I misread your post.

don't apologize, Tony...Tommy still thinks this idiotgate was about ball pressures

Yeesh. I didn't know that. But then again I'm not sure I have the energy to argue nonsense anymore, especially old already argued ad nauseum nonsense. I put deflategaters into the same category as the flat earthers. It's just comedic stupidity at some point.
