So instead of general doom and gloom let’s get specific. Looking at the Pats’ potential playoff opponents who will be the one to knock them off, and why?

I say they beat Tennessee, while Houston beats Buffalo and then upsets the Ravens, but loses to the Pats in the AFCCG (aka the Bill Belichick Invitational Bowl). Then the wheels fall off in the Super Bowl. Probably to the Niners, or maybe Seattle.

So you are going for specific gloom
and doom?

I think the greatest threat is the Queefs in the divisional round. Their defense is playing much better and their offense is what it is. They get past them and I don’t see any reason why they can’t make it back to the Super Bowl.

OK lets predict who beats the Patriots in the playoffs. Great thread.

Now I feel like an asswipe for actually answering the question.

Gilmore

It’s been a long time (maybe) and he’s been erratic lately. I voted Ray. He might even kill a Patriot.

You’ve got an option to say they beat all comers, if that’s what you want.

Tennessee. They have a coach who knows you. They have the best RB in football. This defense has struggled against the run vs good to great backs. No momentum. And frankly, I'd much rather lose to Tennessee than KC. Get the suffering over with. The Patriots are now like that wounded dog in Old Yeller.

Who the hell is Pat and how long is his season? What is Pat up against? DOES PAT EVEN KNOW?

It would be a bad look for BB losing to two former coaches/players in a row.

You know Malcolm Butler wants to eliminate them bad. Ditto with Dion Lewis. They want to torment the Pats Curtis Martin style ‘97-‘00.

First time in the playoffs for the team, and their coach as HC. Playing in Foxboro. Don’t think it will be easy but I think the Patriots win a close game. Close enough that it could go the other way if the team lays a clunker. Just don’t think they will. If either team does it’s more likely TN but I don’t expect tgat. I expect a close hard-fought game with experience being the decisive factor.

If they beat Tennessee they will be in the afc championship game. I feel like they can go into KC and win again. Maybe the ravens lose in an upset.

I just haven't seen enough to think they beat Tennessee. And it's not an effort issue to me. I need to be clear about that. This is an execution issue. They just don't have it in them imo.

Pats have a shot at beating TN but don't see them winning at KC. Yeah I know what happened last but this team has offensive issues and the D is a concern especially since they couldn't keep a 4 win team out of the end zone when they needed to
