BB regularly calls timeouts in the first half right after the 2 minute warning. He's done this a million times. So today was certainly out of character.

& it really seemed like they were waving the white flag.

Was he sending a message to his offense? if so, it backfired big time. They just scored a TD on the previous series, so this move was really confusing. Fitting that we could have gotten a FG at the end of the first half and lost the game by 3 points...

I think he just got too cute by half. This seemed like just another game to the Pats but a huge game for the Fins. Very weird game.

Agree with all that say this is a mediocre team. A pretender.

Dumbfounded why the staff quit on the team to end the first half. Inexcusable. Perhaps a move that permanently breaks this team.

All that said, this is a strange league. We see worst to first regularly. Then this was still a 12–4 team. A good off season, some luck with health, and we’re right back in the hunt next year.

One disappointing thing I’ve noticed since joining here is that there are a helluva lot of spoiled, entitled brat “fans.” Chin up folks, it’ll be ok.

Historic defense can't get a stop against the miami dolphins when it matters most.........This was the season. I'll still watch and hope for a miracle because that's what it will take at this point.
Of late, the Boogeymen have looked more like boogermen. The offense was a long, long, long way from great, but if our supposed historic defense had played even within a mile or two of historic, we would have won that game. Just no excuse to give up a touchdown drive to the Dolphins in that situation. No excuse.

We sure it backfired? Clearly this offense has major issues and a bye week isn’t going to solve it. Yes they are a little banged up but the issue revolves more around execution and there’s no substitute like a real game.

Wouldn’t surprise me if BB took the foot off the gas before half and basically said F these hacks, if they don’t want to play today they can get embarrassed and play next week too.

I wonder where KVN will go eat this week, any guesses on where and who will be his surprise guest?
He and that all-world defense certainly couldn't have played any better today - glad he put all that time into that stupid internet show.

Yes, and we also had a 4 point lead with a D that many on here have compared to the great D’s ever and we let Ryan Fitzpatrick drive the field for the win. Sorry, but they don’t get a pass for what happened.
Giving up that drive to the Dolphins in that situation officially removes them from all conversations about great defenses unless they pitch shutouts for the next four games. But hey, at least they can take solace in all those early-season press clippings that were blowing up their skirts.

I blame Kraft. Hate it when they show his little troll self claping like some f$%ng little gnome. He needs to be put out to pasture. Pathetic, embarrassing pos.
But hey, at least he will be able to look back in future years and take comfort in the fact he put AB in his place.

my Thoughts.

1. This offense is lacking speed and explosiveness.
2. Detrick Wise lacks football intelligence.
3. Brady is not at the Kellerman Cliff but this is what his slide looks like. He's injured for sure but how bad we may never know. What I do know is there is no longer consistency in his game. I love the guy but its clear as day. He's not the player he was even 2 years ago.
4. I think Bill outsmarted himself with his 2019 draft. Being one of the very few coaches who can afford to draft for 2-3 years down the road, I think he left this year's version of the team significantly weaker by drafting for beyond 2019. We got virtually nothing from our second-round pick and absolutely nothing from two of our third-round picks. There were playmakers on the board at positions of need that we did not pick. These guys we did pick may turn out to be all pros but it was at the expense/sacrifice, at least partially, of this 2019 season. this is hard to take after a loss like today.
5. McDaniels had a very up and down season. Perhaps the pack of playmakers hindered his play-calling options?
6. Wynn is a very athletic left tackle and he will be a good player for us for a long time, barring injuries.
7. Chung has been a warrior but he's not able to cover good tight ends anymore. Harmon has not done much the last half of the year. This position has to be addressed in the offseason. And Dev, at 32, is a free agent once the season is done.
8. Our punter ran out of gas about a month ago. This kid hit the rookie wall.
9. Sanu has been poor but will be much better with an offseason under his belt. I felt the a 2 was too much for him but we were desperate.
10. I would like to see much of our 2020 draft capital poured into the lines. I see a lot of changes coming over the next 8 months.

At the beginning of the game I said Pat's and Brady has to play well. Brady didn't. Pat's lost. Going deep in the playoffs is doubtful. Time for Brady to retire. BB, I hope stays on for a couple more years. Kraft can do some prison time.

I’d like us to get some new folks on the front office, we need to be better drafting and making those decision. BB as of late has made horrible decisions.

Bringing Sanu for a 2nd.
Not drafting a quality tight end.
Giving away JG for chump change, we could have gotten a 1st for him...

These are just few of the horrible decisions he has made.

This team truly has many holes to fill, most are offensive woes.

Today BB did not give his offense a chance, he was terrible at managing the timeouts, no point saving 3 times outs with 20 some seconds, that makes you stubborn.

Hmmmm

JJ has been bad since the Houston game
Bad is better than what he's been - he's been trash. Seems like almost every time a big play is given up, he's right there watching it happen with a dumbfounded look.

I just have one question, it might have been asked before, I don't want to go throw all the pages, but what the hell happened to the D today ? I have not seen such a poor outing from them this year, this was the one game they needed to play like their lives depended on it and they came up empty !!!
We know the O has sputtered along but the D has been the strength of the team and everyone was terrible today !

1:47 left in the first half and three timeouts. Burn one and when you get the ball back you have Tom Brady, 2 time outs and 1:30 left on the clock. This is Andy Reidesque to not burn a time out immediately after the 3rd down incompletion. This is an inexcusable coaching decision that goes against everything that BB has done here for the past 20 years.
As a diehard homer and unabashed BB fan, I will never understand this?

That’s exactly what Bill was thinking....”I have 2019 version of Tom Brady”.

He's making a huge miscalculation. The WR core is awful. Guess who played in the 43-0 game against Miami? & boy did he make a difference.

I'm seeing receivers with absolutely zero separation out there. Brady had all time to throw today. All day. What did the receivers do?

That's on Belichick.

One thing we might not appreciate too much is that the core of this team has been together for 3 years, and you can't easily play into February each year, get back for April voluntary camp, then May required camp, you're back in July through February. 3 straight years. This team has essentially played an extra season.

They have totally worn down at this point. So many teams don't recover from a single run into February, win or lose.

They are pretty ragged at this point.

If there was an heir apparent to Brady, then sure you might make the transition, but Brady has them over a barrel right now. They need him. & he's going to insist on investing his cut-rate salary savings in weapons. Sure, Belichick might laugh at him, but if Belichick does that, it's not going to end well for him.

While the loss was disappointing, we have to admit our offense is not up to par.

Not having the week off, gives us a chance to continue to work to get the offense up to par, without the post bye week rustiness that we usually have.
