This was painful to listen to. There is no cheating without intent. I stopped listening when he suggested the camera man was gonna sneak it to Belichick to try to gain favor.

It wasn't that bad. He goes on to suggest that the cameraman did it because he's an idiot.

The real idiot was the security guard asking where is the scout on the footage, not understanding camera guy was shooting what the scout would be seeing on the field. Camera guy tried to explain this, but security guards are typically meatheads. This whole thing truly is like a SNL skit.

I think the security guy was being sarcastic.

It’s all fine as long as the security guy is only hearing security-related things in his earpiece.

The Ravens have been fined for cheating in 2010, 2016, and twice in 2018, which seems to imply that they also should not be getting the benefit of the doubt right now. Yet they are.
How can you tell what he was listening to after the fact?

It is delays like this that is destroying the NFL. How long does it take to determine if there is cheating or not? Only the Pats would have this delay from the decision.

Fine Kraft and move on.

As long as the Pats keep winning, into the playoffs, the "DISTRACTION"attempt will continue.
Placate the masses.

Radio silence from the league on this. Clear as day to me that no link to the football ops was found and there will be no bomb dropped on the team this coming month.

Wonder if they will bundle the penalty/fine after the season ends with one for the Ravens for the Bluetooth sighting.

5 minutes before kickoff against TEN Goofell will parachute into Gillette and belt out the punishments to the tune of the Star Spangled Banner.

PREDICTION: there will be no Ravens Bluetooth penalty

You don't get it. The Jet fans in the league office are fishing for evidence. Hence, why they were frustrated they couldnt find anything as of the latest report.

Prediction: We will hear more about this than we have heard about the football inflation monitoring since defamegate. Still waiting for the new disclosure practices on PSI measurements.

He suggested that as a possibility but states he believes that it was simply an over zealous camera guy shooting additional b roll footage for the documentary because in reality there is nothing to be gained from sideline footage. He also mentions that he used to play football in college and later was camera man who filmed documentaries.

It's a fair take.

They want to see if Pats make SB or not. They will use media week to prattle on about it and try to create a distraction for the team

Sounds like there will be either no draft pick or a mid to low one involved.

Whatever but I still have a fundamental problem with this.

If the conclusion is the Kraft Group's intent was to produce content to promote the team, brand, game and league and not have any role in game day ops there should be no fine and not picks taken.

The other 31 teams produce game day-related content and I'm willing to bet some of that content includes sideline footage- and were not fined because the NFL did not consider this part of a "game day operation".

If anything, a memo reminding the marketing-side of an NFL team to be more careful is an appropriate measure.

I know I'm coming across as a total homer but I just don't see this activity as part of a game day operation. If it was, then I would be a bit more understanding (like Spygate). I still won't like it, but I would at least understand the league's position.

Whats new with the Ratbird's Bluetooth-gate?
