I was thinking the exact same thing. It’s the confluence of 2 of the biggest stat whores in existence: Drew Brees and ESPN.

Brees is all about the stats. Only reason he came back so soon is because bridgewater was having so much success and he was afraid the saints might choose him over brees for the next few years. Brees knows if he has to go to another team and system he might lose the chase to Tom Brady.

They can line as far off the LOS as they want so long as NO has 5 guys on the LOS and the guys on the end of the line have eligible numbers or reported as eligible.
