To Everyone Blaming Brady

The receivers aren’t great, but they are also not so bad that the offense should be this inept.

If the WRs aren't getting separation it's their fault, unless we want to blame Josh McD.

Our receiving corps outside of Edelman is absolutely terrible. Harry and Meyers looked completely clueless last night. Sanu is playing hurt, but he showed zero upside even before he hurt his ankle. Dorsett losing snaps to an idiot like Meyers is telling.

The squirrel is having a heck of a season. I am surprised more teams don’t double this team and force these other guys to beat them.

To me, it just looked like an over all bad game. I won’t bother with blaming one guy for a blown game

This offense hasn’t looked good for 4 straight games. Ever since that ravens game man.

That pick was on Harry quitting on his route. Which is why he spent the rest of the night on the sideline.
Roby tugged him at the top of the route and he just turtled after that. Looks like Tarzan plays like Jane so far.

yeah lets blame everyone outside of the guy playing the most important position on the field. Great idea.

Brady with Gordon (6-0)
6 games, 1743 yards, 65% completion, 7.64 average, 10 touchdowns, 3 interceptions, 97.5 rating

Brady without Gordon (4-2)
6 games, 1525 yards, 57% completion, 6.01 average, 8 touchdowns, 3 interceptions, 80.0 rating

However the coaching staff felt about Gordon, Brady seemed to trust him, releasing him so we could open up a roster spot for Cody Kessler just did not make any sense.

It not just that Brady trusted him...opposing defenses respected him. The defensive approach vs. the Pats passing game right now is pretty simple. Double Edelman and White, straight man vs. the others. The other WRs simply can't beat man coverage. Harry didn't beat man much in college, he out-muscled guys in contested situations.

I have been quite perplexed at the change in approach away from the small/quick/get open fast guys, to the big, physical, slower guys. It seems like a terrible pairing for Brady's present skill set, but this change has been happening over the last couple of years (Britt, Matthews, Harry, Meyers, Harris, Inman, Thomas, etc.). These guys are all bigger guys that need time to get open. Why we've gone this way is beyond me.

Also, if we're going to take contested deep shots, why do we do it with our smallest guys? Seems odd.

I'm convinced a lot of posters here are first and foremost Brady fans and Patriot fans in the periphery.

Perry: WR communication issues have Brady at wit's end

I don't blame TB at all.
No QB is perfect. And if TB weren't here, there would be a lot more crying. Book it!

The rookies WR's just haven't been here long enough. It is what it is.

Dorsett is most likely banged up a bit. But no excuse, so is Jules. (thank God for him).
I also believe they had a 5h!t show week of practice, (or lack of), with the illnesses.

Let's see what happens next week to see if this can right itself a bit.

In a nut shell, to me it just the receivers not getting separation and not getting Toms cues way too often.

I feel for the guy. Taking abuse from the talking heads and the posters here.

They absolutely are. They think Brady is absolutely and totally awesome until he is 65 and throws 4 touchdowns and 30 picks per season.

I thought Harry was going to “take it up a notch”...

If Meyers has been drafted in the first round and Harry an UDFA, people would certainly understand it because Meyers appears to have more natural talent. That’s what confuses me. Actual, on-field speed, strength, catch radius, yards after catch, all seem to favor Meyers. That’s before we even get into route running. I’m pretty down on Harry, and not just because he clearly doesn’t know where to run. He just seems to play smaller than he is and lacks explosion. I don’t know if it’s confidence, but his speed and athleticism do not look anything close to first round caliber.

I realize it is very early in Harry’s career, but I feel like I’ve seen this movie many times before.

Closing in on his first 1000 yard season, believe it or not.

Harry's catch radius is better than Meyers. I know he hasn't displayed it as of yet but his catch radius is one of the reasons they drafted Harry so high.

That's a Bill issue for bringing in guys without talent. I find it hard to believe a guy like Sanu cant get separation...

This was, what? Harry's second game? Let's see him play before we throw him out with the bathwater. Sanu and Dorset have been hurt, and still look like they are hurt. That leaves Squirrel and Meyers, who both looked pretty good last night. Although Squirrel seemed to be wincing a little with his shoulder. I am willing to give them some time.

The only people who are blaming Brady are idiot media pundits who want a headline.

Anyone with a brain realizes Brady's weapons and protection have been anywhere from mediocre to poor this season.

Sanu absolutely showed upside before he hurt his ankle against PHL.

And calling Meyers an "idiot"?

Yikes.
