Awesome. Hope we get a few more years outta him before he transitions into coaching.

It still blows my mind McClellan blocked two (deflected one technically) last season and didn't get it. Wonder what happened to him, he was good for us last year.

Severe concussion

For those who complain about the emphasis on ST - the Patriots have won two games this season and the difference in ST was the direct difference.

He is like the best special teams player I can remember

Honestly, two wins this year are directly attributable too him. If not for his plays in the Buffalo and Dallas games, I think the Pats might have lost. He is the Brady of special teams.

edit. And going forth, all great players will be referred to as the Brady of xxx.

Since according to a recent statement made by a HoF football savant "Special teams is a total reflection of coaching" I don't understand why there's a ST player of the week. Shouldn't it be ST Coach Of The Week?

Did he get his glory hole?

oooh. I think he sustained a neck injury too.

Surprised this is Slate's first weekly award, then again it normally goes to kickers and returners.

Am sure it all will be forgotten until next end of August when people will once again try to squeeze STs out to keep some of the preseason third/fourth quarter heroes or save the odd million or two off the cap.

Even after all the rule changes st’s are one of the most entertaining part of the game.

Been so fun watching this unit the last couple of seasons.

You talkin' to me?
You Talkin' to ME???

Hopefully he gets voted to another pro bowl this year.

he is the best active special teams player in football!!!

Still one of my favorite jokes was when Peyton Manning was at a comedy roast and someone was complimenting him for how funny his commercials are and said "Peyton, you're like the Tom Brady of commercials!"
