Why does everyone seem to hate Jimmy G?

calling erin andrews "baby" was kinda douchy ... just sayin ' ...

he's not a Patriot any more, so why root for him? just because he spent a few years here? nah... don't find myself rooting for other former Patriots, so why should garrapolo be any different? because he played quarterback? yeah, no.
Brady has said baby before to people. It’s not like he said “toots” and smacked her on the a**. The Raiders slogan is “just win baby” is that offensive as well?
As for him being a former Patriot I root for all former Patriots that left on good terms. I generally root for my former coworkers to do well when they leave for another job and even some of the local beat guys when they get a job at a “bigger” news outlet/station. I guess I’m general I like to see people succeed.

why does any Patriots fan give a crap about some NFC QB and that player's team? I mean, let's pollute this site with more Bennett and Demaryius threads too. One has to be some kind of whacked obsessive to put up a thread like this right after a win over Big D.

Lol.

We are all Jimmy fans in 2 weeks. He could do a huge favor for his old team and give the Patriots a massive boost for the #1 seed.

Just not sure why it seems people hate this kid. Those 4 games Brady was suspended, he did well for us the first 2 and 1/2 games. (Until he was injured). Maybe I'm missing something here.

Thoughts on this?

I recall Jimmy going out for 1 1/2, and Brisket for 2 1/2.

As for hating him, I'm not sure I see that. He did have a "deer in the headlight" look against Seattle - first time I saw that in him. Niners fans love him. I know people who don't like football who are fans of Jimmy. I don't see a generalized hate of him.

Commentators asking if he is the long-term solution for the Niners may legitimately do that until he is actually on the field for a season. Back luck or not durable? That is the question and possible knock on him.

I'm a fan of both Jimmy and Jacoby. I cheer for them unless they play the Pats. Then I hope they suck in legendary fashion.

I love Jimmy G. I think he is a really good QB and wish he was still part of the team. Unfortunately we had to choose between him and the GOAT. I don't blame the guy for wanting to start so he had to go. No ill will whatsoever.

Here are the facts:

1. JG was going to leave the Patriots after the 2016 season. PERIOD. The only way he stays would have been if the Pats were willing to let Brady go. It was as simple as that.
2017, not 2016.
His contract would have expired at the end of the 2017 season and he was traded on Oct 31, 2017.

2 simple rules

1) Pats good world bad

2) Patriots win therefore PatsFans are experts

No matter where I look, it seems that people are either "not sold" on him or won't give this kid any credit for where he has his team right now. I understand that he is young and has to earn this but he seems to be doing just that this season.

I've seen guys like Rodney Harrison and Stephen A. Smith to local radio guys and some around here who roots against him. (Think there was a thread on this topic, specifically). He's been deemed a "game manager" and the good ole "its all his defense" reason why they are winning. I feel like I see him throwing the ball pretty well, scording TDs, limited turnovers and most importantly, winning games for his team. His team has the same record as our team in a much better NFC. He's still very young and has a lot to learn from and develop if he remains healthy.

The NFC is not much better. They may actually lose the head-to-head battle with the AFC this year, just as they do most years.

Right now there are 5 NFC teams with 3 or less losses and only 3 AFC teams. If not for an injury to Mahomes that could easily be 4. I'm not exactly sure what that means, but it's possible that a conference

Maybe the reason some fans are reluctant to praise JG is because it's still early. He could become a great QB or he could end up below average. Time will tell.

As for the thoughts of some talking heads, a young singer named Dua Lipa has a great song that fits them perfectly...

Brady? O rly?

And no it's not offensive. Context matters.

I’ve wondered it too. He seems to get a lot of hate and called a douche, or arrogant when to my knowledge he’s never done anything douchey or arrogant. The whole porn star thing was so stupid and I’ve only seen women get upset about it. I like Jimmy and will root for him to play well against any team aside from the Patriots.

He seems like a nice kid but I would root against the 49ers or any other NFC team unless they can help the Pats by winning.

That post reminds me a little of Harry Boy's posts on the pofo. I miss the guy and hope all is well with him.

This.
Dec. 1st 49ers/Ravens JG gets a win. Great for us and I leave it at that.

I have a friend who will use "babe" on occasion. He cuts the word real short to give it more emphasis.

I like me some Jimmy G, I said a few weeks ago that I genuinely hope he goes 17-2 on the year and I still mean it, from the bottom of my heart

He is, but he looks like he would be "classier" than he really is, if you get my meaning (dating a porn star and not understanding people's reactions; calling a female reporter "baby" on the sideline - and I know it was just an excited slip, but still). His looks don't match his level of sophistication. And yes, I am being petty and silly and it's Monday and I don't want to do all the work on my desk.
Classy!
