Remember that Celtics thread about Kyrie Irving the other day? You made some spot-on observations that are very relatable to the Patriots vis-vis AB.

He’s a Succubus.
.

.
I think those are different circumstances. I don’t think AB would be a bad locker room presence, more of a PR headache than anything.

Plus it was “Kyrie’s team”. AB would be a piece, not the head honcho. Far from it. I don’t see what AB would have to complain about. Brady is in love with him; it wouldn’t be about targets or winning. That’s for sure.

Wynn does good here at the end of the game:

I know that part of the reason was that Cannon was sick, but I still thought it was a great sign that the team was running left, and not always to the right, to close out the game.

If you have any unhappy thoughts you’re a chicken little!!

I am in the Festivus spirit early and I'm only interested in the airing of grievances.

I have a LOT of problems with you people!

Happy people in New England....ha.

Patsfans.com is a safe space and anything negative will not be tolerated

didn’t you get the memo

Did I mention that this thread is for happy thoughts only? Well, just in case someone missed it, this thread is for happy thoughts only!

Happy thoughts only! Post Game Thread-Pats beat the Cowboys!!! Awesome!!!!

That was a frustrating game..and I loved every minute of it. Winter football is here, and we got the D to tough out some wins.
That type of weather gives us a leg up on almost anyone - even Jackson and the Ravens I believe - because I think it will affect Jackson.

Thought Meyers, despite a few bad drops, had some nice catches as well.

Not just, PR, Kdo5. He has been a headache to the coaches and admin in both Pittsburgh and Oakland. He has shown a continual inability to accept any authority. Was choking Mayock his 7h or 8th run in with coaches/GMs/QBs?

BBhad always said he chooses players to whom football is the most important thing in their lives. He has previously made that a mantra of his. Is football the prime endeavor in ABs mind at this point? He has continually shown otherwise the past 4 years. I find interesting those who have said he is not the same person since the Burfickt hit. If so, I have sympathy for him and it is a shame, but he should not contaminate the Patriots. They have a great thing going, much like the Celtics before picking up Kyrie Irving.

A team from Texas loses, making Texas natives sad --> happy

That team is the Dallas Cowboys --> happy x3

Patriots win --> shrug

Patriots don't lose --> happy x100

Brady could have put more air under the ball

I think they didn’t want to take the risk that Brady wouldn’t be able to roll out because of pressure. Mike Pereira noted the intentional grounding rule requires the QB to be under pressure and then stated that was why Brady threw it so quickly.

It seemed to be fashionable with the "experts" to pick the Cowboys this week. I wonder how our ass tastes.

That's like a patsfans theory of game reltativity right there

People can say whatever they want.
I’m saying it’s bizarre to me that people can’t enjoy a win and within 5 minutes after the game (and from what I hear, during the game in the game day thread) all they talk about is negative.
It’s odd to me that being the fan of the winningest team ever materializes as never being happy.
Frankly it’s annoying to have to have conversation about a win dominated by complaining.

Agreed. Look, there's nothing wrong with pointing out and discussing the deficiencies/areas of weakness of your team. It's NFL fandom's rite of passage to verbalize the concerns. But JHFC there are an awful lot of people who seem bordering on miserable after a win that puts the Patriots 10-1 and tied for the best record in the NFL.

Yes the Patriots are weak on O right now. Fortunately they're very strong on D. This isn't the first time the complimentary makeup of the team has been imbalanced, it's just the first time it's been this lopsided in favor of the D. IMHO this is better situation than the years of the great O and patchwork D's. This is an O with a QB who knows a lot about succeeding/winning and in general an O that knows how to succeed. And every game that happens (while getting a couple guys healthy) hopefully is providing better parameters & answers going forward. The Patriots came away with a win but were forced to see what the new guys can do. If Harry can hold onto the ball we've got a guy who can out jump/out muscle his defender and be productive in those scenarios(that can be very valuable). Myers is trending toward being that Givens type player. And best of all, as lousy as the run game has been, when the Patriots needed a first down/run out the clock the run game came through at the end.
Try to see the positives and temper the misery. It's really not as bad as you imagine. :)

He’ll be a head ache for Bob and the PR team, you mean. By all accounts his teammates like him. Brady is obsessed with him. He wouldn’t poison the locker room or anything like that.

Who cares......he’s an idiot

but I’ll gladly take a wager if you want to bet on him playing for the pats again this year

Last time I checked, an ugly win counts the same as a blow out win in the standings.

any win is a good win in the nfl!

the secondary play is unbelievable! Hopefully the front four can get more pressure on the qb next game.

cannon wins the total guts award for this week.

hopefully we can dry off, rest up and come out of Houston with another win!

Dietrich Wise is a punk.

What if happy thoughts of mine seem like misery to anyone else?

Harry and Wynn made the difference today.
