Why Wasn't Mason Rudolph Suspended?

Please don’t apologize. Selflessness went out with the Inquisition. We’re all just reaching for that last piece of Lindt candy while knocking down little children and old ladies.
Reading this post was like being on a really fun roller coaster that suddenly derailed. And I don’t even care because I just had so much fun.

The league would put the hammer down on any player found to make a racial slur against another
But in this instance, falsely accuse someone of making a racial slur.............crickets

Imagine if the roles were reversed and it was the white QB who made false accusations. It would be social justice Armageddon

After I read “He gives of the impression he’s a punk”, my mind short circuited!

If that how you form your opinion, you need help bro.

John Steigerwald: Steelers QB Mason Rudolph shouldn’t get off so easily in Myles Garrett fight | TribLIVE.com

Rudolf is a punk.

Brady talks a lot of smack, but I have never seen an opposing player go after him at the end of a game. Players from around the NFL respect Brady. Even when the other team is being pummeled with Brady still throwing the ball with second left in a Pats blowout. No opposing teams players go after Brady because Brady is not a punk.

If you like punks good for you.

Take a good look at Rudolf.

What kind of a man acts like a punk.

Absolutely. I mean, hypothetically if they had a tape of a player beating up a women, he’d be immediately banned from the league. There’s no question.

Hey, it’s his helmet. Probably has a lot of sentimental value.

Accusing someone of saying something racist to get out of something dumb one did is absolutely a market cornered by minorities. Nobody cares if a white dude gets called a cracker. Doesn’t move the needle.

I'm saying that using race is not what matters here. Race is just convenient because of this time in history. What matters here is the general principle of making something up to justify getting triggered into doing something violent. It happens all the time, and there are no demographic patterns to it.

If Garrett is in fact making this up to try and reduce his penalty and shame, he's thrashing around to find ways to do so. If race wasn't handy, he could have found something else to hang it on.

I don’t disagree with your general point that people make stuff up to get out of trouble, but race is absolutely what matters here. A black guy just accused a white guy of dropping the N-bomb. That’s not unimportant. It has pretty far reaching consequences for the accused, whose coach and many of his teammates are black. Wouldn’t you agree?

In your opinion, why is he a punk?

When I think of punks, I think about players known for taking cheap shots or Diva players

I ****ing hate every single race. White people chief among them. We are the worst, most useless, most spineless race on the entire planet.
I’m the opposite. I think we’re all beautiful

I actually give him credit for going after Garrett. Garrett had a helmet on. He didn’t. The reason he didn’t is because Garrett had his helmet his hand. Garrett is also bigger and stronger (and far more athletic). It takes a big set of balls to square up like that.

That one is kinda on the NFL, he was apparently told it wasn't going to leave the room. Somebody leaked it.

More than likely someone in Garrett’s camp, IMO.

NFL simply doesn't want any more controversy on their precious 100th, it took them a nanosecond to investigate, didn't even interview Browns players. There is no precedent for indefinitely suspending Garrett for an on field incident. Zero.

I see everyone runs to their corner on this, white boys sticking up for the white QB and against the black DE. You can see that little punk Rudolph calling the guy that pushed him from behind a biatch. Rudolph started this mess, then once Garrett was being manhandled by DeCastro tried to go after him, and got slapped again with the helmet. DiCastro throws him to the ground and that punk Punsy hits him and kicks him while he's being held. So you had 3 Steelers beating up (or trying to) Garrett as he was being held. Nice. Reminded me of Rodney King, lol. Of course, nobody sees anything wrong with it. Beat up the black dude. Too bad he missed that rascist little sh$%t. Rudolph is a punk, f$%k him.

Oh and f%$k you all, thats my opinion and you guys can't prove sh%$t about what was said or not said based on your lame theories. Only Rudolph and Garrett know. Nobody else including the lying NFL can say if it did or didn't happen. I believe Garrett, you don't. So what.

As much as I can't stand Fraudger Goodell, I don't think he's the one who decides which players get punished for what. He's the owners' puppet. Looking at the inconsistencies in the punishments tells me that the owners are behind everything he does.

As for this incident, no matter what Rudolph said or didn't say, it still doesn't warrant the action that Garrett took. There's also the fact that Garrett was the instigator. I was surprised that he wasn't flagged for a late hit and/or roughing the QB. He should have been.

If we're going to use the Rodney King reference, I need to know which beating you're referring to, his or the innocent truck driver that was pulled from his truck and had his brain scrambled by three men with a brick?

And he’s got a teammate with his hands on Garrett. Doesn’t hurt you have help when you’re angry.

Why would you trust anything the League tells you?

That didn't help Rudolph though. He was lucky that he got hit with the padded part of the helmet. Btw, should we now start calling him helmet head?

It’s a societal double standard. In this case a guy, whom I think 99% of us agree is completely full of ****, is making an accusation which could completely ruin another man’s career and ruin his life. There will be no consequences whatsoever for Garrett in his slander. People are so sensitive about this issue that they’re terrified to call out Garrett for the POS he is.
