BGC 2020 QB/PTP Thread

I think the Florida qb broke his ankle against Kentucky. He could be out most of not all of the season.

Qb love of Utah state did not impress against LSU in the first half.

Personally don't see the attraction, although read a good article on him from B/R

Tua, Burrow, and Eason all looking like first rounders

Fromm may return to school

Fromm should declare, he’s a first rounder all day long. I’d take him over anyone in this draft class at QB.

Fromm is a game manager....

He will be a bust.

He was my favorite QB personally entering the season, but has shown some mechniancal conerns at the least, isn't dominating like he should be as well...I'm still a major fan though

Wee bit too early for me to agree with that, I don't think he's a "game manager"

I don't see any special traits. He is missing throws, plays behind the best OL, has an awesome run game, good weapons, lacks special accuracy or arm strength.

Reminds me of AJ McCarron.

College MCarron or NFL McCarron? I was big on coming out

Poise, intangibles, size, arm...Not having the best year and would assume he returns however

Was my QB1 this summer

Fromm upside: very accurate, makes good decisions and wins games.

Fromm downside: pop gun arm and he will not throw to receivers running certain routes.

This isn't how you evaluate QBs or any position for that matter. Concentrating on draft from here on out. QBs starting tonight

Absolutely nothing to do w Herbert btw.

Fromm is my QB1, I like Eason a ton too

Eason has some decision making issues, and I think there are legit character concerns. For a guy with the god-given talent of Dan Marino, it concerning but maybe not a dealbreaker to me. He would fit the Pats system perfectly. I'm in. Still plenty more to evaluate, of course.

I like the kid Burrow last year and this first game did nothing to dispel that.

He's definitely good, but I think he's going to be overrated by the time its all done. He's not going to live up to Tom Brady status or whatever they put on him.

He looks like garbage. He has some tools, but he's a mental midget if the LSU game is any indication.

I agree. Also, not a Herbert fan at all. Also a mental midget. Let someone else catch that falling knife.

Fromm reminds me a ton of Garoppollo. Similar height, quick release, accuracy.

He's near the top of my QB rankings, but I haven't solidified anything yet.

Hurts is s tremendous athlete could have a place in the nfl as a wide receiver.

Hurts definitely has issues similar to Herbert and Love, but I'd take Hurts above them because he's the only one who has shown poise and leadership ability. And while Herbert and Love are above average in terms of athleticism, Hurts is elite in that regard. If I wanted to attempt to run a spread offense in the NFL and utilize QB running/mobility, Hurts is my top option.

Khalil Tate looks like a nice sleeper option for spread teams too. He too has a lack of passing ability, but again, that running ability is close to elite.

Fromm, Eason, and Burrow are intriguing guys to me right now for pro style teams. With value in mind, I believe you can drop at least Burrow from that list.

My top sleeper is probably Nate Stanley. His name was kind of hot last year and I'm not sure why he dropped off the map. Seems like he's playing fine. His numbers aren't great, but it's Iowa not Washington State.

Tua’s hip surgery went well. Expected to make a full recovery,

Feel awful for the kid and am rooting hard for him

Wasn't in as love with him as the mainstream draft media was but he seems like an unbelievable kid with a bright future

If tua returns for his senior season, he has almost zero chance of being the first first round draft pick with Lawrence eligible for that draft.

he may not even be the second qb picked as a lot of scouts like fields better.

He has a tough call to make in a few months.

He has an insurance policy so I think it's unlikely he returns to 'Bama

That being said, maybe he has "unfinished business"

Can't see a QB with that major of an injury go 1st overall let alone Top 5...not sure where he goes

A cbs mock draft had us taking him at the end of the first round.

that just screams classic bb.
