Roughly what do the tiers stand for? I've seen a suggestion that the Pats should draft KJ Costello in the first.

Jake Fromm my early favorite to be the first QB taken

Honestly just a quick opinion of where they are now & where they could be.

In terms of NFL QB'S I think there's 4 tiers.
1)Elite (Win bc of, they are the system)
Brady, Brees, Wilson, Mahomes, Rogers (might be missing someone) are all borderline elite/help you win depending on the day or waiting another year in Mahomes case.
2)Helps you win
Luck, Ryan, Watson, Baker, Wentz, Cam etc ..

3)Avg
Jimmy, Ben, Dak, MT

4)Hurts you
Eli, Flacco.. You get the point

And unknown I suppose when you consider rookies who 99.9% of time are bad/avg. Usually year 1 doesn't matter in terms of stats. It's a re-evaluation of sorts.

I think 4-5 could be in the "helps you" or in between there & avg by NFL standards, by years end.

How much is Alabama’s successs because of tua and how much because of all the five star talent on that team?

Hurt is a tier 10 QB, but was 26 and 2 as a starter for Alabama.

I personally would move Fromm and Herbert up to tier 1.

For totally different reasons, I also prefer Fromm

Hurts reminds me of Dak.

Not sure who Hurts reminds me of, huge fan but don't see him having a purpose in the NFL

Hurts is s tremendous athlete could have a place in the nfl as a wide receiver.

How to QB.
Ive always believed sacks we're more on QBs than OL but the past few years Ive gone more in that camp. I also would give QBs "bonus" points for explosive plays (plays over 16 yards, apparently this is how coaches "define" an ex play/and this would be tough but maybe an extra point or 2 for avoiding sacks? Or would that just be almost canceling out a QBs mistake(s) to begin w?

Only using this for draft purposes here. If someone wants to start a discussion on the main abt QBs go for it. I dont need the inevitable nonsense, rabbit-hole bs in here please/ty. I don't mind a few comments, not trying to be a diva, I think you guys understand what I'm trying to say lol. Again though anything draft related please have at it.

DTR is awful.

Fromm is my QB1, I like Eason a ton too

One name to watch from the bottom tier is Tommy Stevens

Hurts, Perkins, and Tate all guys I find interesting but we'll see as NFL prospects

Milton I like but will most likely return to UCF

Not as big on Tua and Herbert as others

Fromm has been my number one guy for a while and it won’t change at all, to me it just seems like he “Gets it” I don’t really know how to explain it! Understands his game very well and knows what he can and can’t do which is a big deal. He doesn’t have the best arm but it’s good enough.

The other thing is he’s beaten out 5* recruits since he’s been a freshman, he’s also gone against those Alabama Defence which is basically NFL talent.

I’m hoping UGA have some real threats at WR this year as they are normally ground and pound and then throw off the PA..

November 16 Georgia at auburn. We will learn about Fromm from that game.

I like the kid Burrow last year and this first game did nothing to dispel that.

Growing on me as well, one thing I notice so far around all of college football is that QB mechanics look smother than usual...Usually I'm a stickler

I think the qb from Colorado state blew his knee out today. Very sad!
