I hope Brooks isn’t fined for that hit. It was as clean as it gets. The broadcasting crew had no clue what they were talking about.

It's called analysis.

  • Karras is not as athletic as Andrews, so we're seeing a team that's lost the ability to pull its center.
  • Mason is having a down year, likely because of an injury (Bedard just said that he expects that he'll end up needing surgery after the season).
  • Cannon is having a lesser year, coming off of multiple injuries.
  • The team doesn't have a FB worthy of the title, now that Develin's on IR.
  • The team doesn't have TEs who can block. That's impacting both the running game and the short passing game.
  • The team has a RB1 who can't get yards on his own. He's also inexplicably bad in the passing game.
  • The team's WR1 has been having some pretty big drops this season.
  • The team's only deep speed at WR has been hurt multiple times this season.
  • The team not only has very little deep speed at WR but, with Gronk gone, it doesn't have the kind of seam threat that can make that less important.
  • And, to top that all off, and the worst of all problems, is that the LT sucks ass like a swarm of mosquitoes on a Donkey's behind.

And noting all of that is not looking for a scapegoat. It's analyzing the offensive play around the QB. If you want a legitimate scapegoat, look to whomever was the final decisionmaker in the cutting of AB.
This is about as accurate a summation of the offensive woes as I've seen or heard.

Harry had no drops right? Also looks like a solid contributor in the blocking game. Happy with his first game!

yeah. Encouraging. He needs a few games to get up to game speed.

I think the point is that if you are saying he is a 5th strong OL playing like a 5th string OL that’s the same as saying he sucks. Which makes everyone right in this case

Comments:

1.) If you break down the Pats D into three parts, the DL is the worst part..followed by the LB corps and then the secondary. Nonetheless, I would rank our secondary #1 in the league and our LB'ers....in the top 3 for sure. Our DL? Maybe..18th or something depending on fronts. So, the run D is what it is....a weakness...but a MINOR one if we are playing with a lead...

2.) The problem with this team is the offense... which is a GOOD PROBLEM TO HAVE given that we have a HOF QB and a creative coordinator to work it out. I think by season's end, the O will be a respectable unit.

3.) Don't get too excited, but Folk was SOLID today.

4.) I thank Newhouse for his effort and I think Wynn has to be at least .5 of a second better in pass protection....that should make a dramatic difference, IMO.

Yea but people aren't just saying he sucks. That's why I said drop the word bad vs suck vs disastrous, put a number on it, so I can actually see what people really mean by "disastrous"

Pats are 9-1: 5-1 on the road, 4-0 at home.

Philly didn’t score in the second half. Pats score the final 17 points of the game.

Wentz had pretty mediocre protection for most of the game. That gave him happy feet. Five sacks and a lot of pressures.

Bailey had one shank but had a 47.6 yard avg. on 8 punts. Pinned the Eagles back several times, including to start the last series. Huge in a game like this.

Brady should stop pouting. It’s not a good look. If he’s unhappy with being saddled with a bunch of rookies he should have shown up earlier to work with them. We won the game- sheesh.

I was following on espnand nfl app.It wasn’t pretty but we won
I hear you, Moejr. Watching it would maybe give you a different appreciation for how bad the OL was and how much the O struggled. They weren't able to get a single point in the second half, and this is after they were spotted the ball at or about the 50-yard-line on two consecutive drives. It definitely was not pretty.

1 Wentz is nothing special. Not impressed.

2 Phiily hit on Dorsett was a 15 yard penalty hit to the head and a facemask. Nothing called.

3 Rough game by Brady. How he didnt have at least 2 INTs is a miracle.

4 The Pats offense is in limp mode. Passes were mostly all screens and short dump offs. The only TD was a trick play hearkening back to 2001 when trickery and tom foolery put points up on the board. I dont see a Super Bowl caliber offense there.

5 I aint convinced that Isaiah Wynn returning cures all offensive ills like Tony Romo predicts.

Omg Deus you are really picking up the AndyJohnson unnecessary argument shtick around here. Let's just drop the bad vs disastrous semantics. Scale of 1-100. 100 being worst of all time. Do you think he's a 100? Cause I'm putting him at about a 70, when it seems like everyone is putting him at a 150. That's all I'm saying.

You are the one saying everyone is overdoing the negative level of play by Newhouse, though you're talking about him playing like a 5th string LT. And you follow that up by saying that I'm the one with the unnecessary argument shtick while you're saying he's "just" 70 on a scale of 100, and you then pull a "150 OUT OF 100!" inanity as a means of denigrating every other poster.

Holy Christ, but you need to take a long look in the mirror.

Would Brady showing up earlier to work have prevented Harry's injury?

You people who keep citing to that "shown up earlier" nonsense conveniently ignore that, for the second year in a row, most of the receivers who are playing in November weren't practicing with the team for big chunks of the offseasons.

I’ll say one of the the 10 worst starting OL on the nfl and one of the worst 3 starting LT. Fair?

Did the td in the 2nd half not count? It won the game. I liked it a lot.

Worst 10, sure. Worst 3, I don't think so. I think the rest of the offense being mediocre is accentuating the suck

1. The hit on Dorsett after the touchdown was awful. Late, targeting the head of a defenceless receiver. And nothing was called. It was far worse than the hit by Brooks that was penalized.

2. Give Brady a break. The guy was exhausted. He had every right to be. That was a tough game.

I’d probably say worst LT in the NFL if pushed to narrow it but I’m confident he is at least in the worst 3 starting LTs. He really sucks.
And worst 10 was among ALL STARTING OL
IN THE NFL
