No, it does not mean that. It means that the defender gets flagged for an illegal play, and the offense can decide if they want to accept the penalty or not.

Ok didn't consider that. But I still think that would be a confusing rule and even harder to officiate.

Jimmy a little sloppy tonight again. They are 8-0 for a reason and nothing just happens, they're a very good team I think, if a little bit of a paper tiger. People say the Pats haven't played anybody...same applies here. Niners look fast and smart and tough when it's all working, but tonight they look soft and sloppy and skittish.

Well the Saints lost at home to the 1-7 Falcons yesterday, so I think maybe SF would have a shot.

It all depends on Brees. He’s been slumping for the past year and did nothing against ATL. Their defense has been surprisingly ok. GB is more explosive on offense and gets turnovers even though that suck.
