Jones doesn't have the physicality to bring down Jackson. I wouldn't be surprised if we used two spies in KVN and Collins with split responsibilities. Both have speed and the ability to punish Jackson for taking off.

Agreed, it's easy to forget how slight Jones is -- at draft time, all of 5'9" 186. Picture a skinnier Ellis Hobbs.

Funny how nobody grouses about DBs being "smurfs" as long as they can play, eh? :) Even J.C. Jackson, who to my eyes plays big, is just 5'10".

With all due respect to "one game at a time," this sure looks like the pivotal game of the season. A win = HFA*, with some time and breathing room for their offense to find its rhythm with Sanu and Harry and a healthier OL. A loss leaves the Ravens just one game back with a marginally easier schedule ahead.

(*OK, almost. I just looked at Indy's creampuff schedule. 2 winning teams left out of 9 games.)

As was I. In fairness, though, I would have had him as a much higher priority if I knew how badly the team wanted to move on from Gordon. Obviously they weren't going to roll with two rookies as the only big WRs on the team.

THIS ^^^
Was OK but lukewarm on Sanu pre trade. I was blindsided by the Gordon developments. Given the inside view that BB had on Josh, trading and paying high for Sanu was necessary.
Hope that Sanu is the veteran fast learner they expect him to be. He has the work ethic.

mods really need to do something about the concern trolling

So, if I hear you right, wanting every handoff to be tackled 3 yds behind the LOS and every dropback to result in a strip/sack/pick is just WRONG.

Can't help it. The longer this run of Runs goes on the closer we are to the end and the idea that I will have to adjust myself to the idea of the Pats not being perfect is unbearable. I ask for so little in this life...weekend morning hornies, a fine, hoppy IPA at less than 3 figures per fourpack, to not run into The Stupids on the road....why can't I have the Pats Perfect Plays???

God knows, I so deserve it.

I suspect Dorsett's and Meyers' snaps will drop over the next 2/3 weeks as McDaniels integrates Harry and Sanu into the #2/#3 WR roles.

I don't respect RPO, running QBs
Kiddie ball
Put 10 six year olds on a field, that is what you get
College, let's not be too complicated
Play it against the smartest D in the game,
arguably ever?

It is hard to gameplan against random
QBs that can move, escape, extend plays are stressful
Games vs Ben always had moments
So there will be those

LJ is not throwing against this D
With all that, given the extra emotion of the Ratbirds,
talking head focus on how or who can beat the Pats-
the most interesting game of the year
They will be disappointed

Then they will all say, well you cant beat the
smartest D in history by just having the QB
run the ball.

9-0.

Are you drunk ?

The Ravens are scary though. They wear black and won a couple of playoff games against us like 8 years ago. No one wants to play them.

And they very nearly won a third...and had a 14-point 2nd-half lead in another...

Do you know what is scary? Our offense, and not in a good way...

Ray Lewis is not walking through that door, fans
Ed Reed and Terrell Suggs are not walking through that door

Take away defensive scores (for all teams), and the offense is 8th in points scored. It may not be what we've been spoiled by in some seasons, but scary? Really? Top 1/4 of the league in something is scary now?

Not concerned about our run defense in dry conditions. I am more concerned about our running in any condition.

This game is HUGE. Plus, I hate losing to them and their crybaby HC.

Is it just a coincidence that the Pats schedule has them playing the cream-puffs in the 1st half of the season and the tougher teams coming off of their byes in the 2nd half?
