Jets Suck -- 2019 Edition (Official): Entering A New Half-Century of Moronic Mediocrity!

Also of note is that CJ Mosley came back from a groin injury vs. the Pats, was clearly still impaired, and is now reinjured. Great medical staff there. If I’m an agent I’m advising my clients to go anywhere else.

Not bad, but there's the redundancy nit to pick. Why would you say "New Jersey" and "Sewage Pipe Outlets"?

Even if it's true that you can't say New Jersey without entailing Sewage Pipe Outlet, the other direction doesn't hold: not all Sewage Pipe Outlets are in New Jersey. In other words, it's a conditional, not a bi-conditional. That's LOGIC for you Mr Nit-picky Poet!

I know a bit about the injury because I've had a torn labrum myself for the last couple of years that I've been managing without surgery.

The situation isn't the same. My injury is clearly less bad and I'm twice the age and half the size of Osemele.
If you get an incoming phone call from a New Jersey number and they ask about your two hand technique, I suggest hanging up the phone immediately.

Jets cut Kelechi Osemele

The feud between the Jets and offensive lineman Kelechi Osemele has reached its breaking point.

The Jets announced today that they have released Osemele.

That comes after a month-long dispute between Osemele and the Jets over his decision to have shoulder surgery. Osemele started the first three games of the season but said he suffered a shoulder injury that would end his season. The Jets felt that Osemele could have played through the injury.

The Jets and Osemele were clearly not seeing eye-to-eye, and given that Osemele’s salary this year is $9.7 million and next year is $11.2 million, it probably wasn’t going to make sense for the Jets to keep paying big money to a player they were feuding with.

The Jets and Osemele are still likely headed for a fight over whether the Jets have to pay him the balance of his 2019 salary. But what’s clear is Osemele is done playing for the Jets.

As Justice and the Law are reported to coexist in the script of A Dry White Season, in which Marlon Brando's character says the two are best described as at best distant cousins, and that in South Africa, he is afraid they are not on speaking terms -- so is the relationship between language and truth, in the first instance; and the relationship between language and truth in New Jersey, in the second.

And if you don't like the simile, I should have prefaced it with "I'm not a homer but..."

Ah that's better! A metaphor that suggests profundity but doesn't commit anyone to anything. I'll vote for you.

Folks, this is NOT going to end well for the NY Jets:

Should have capitalized Homer there to make it easier. I put too much stock in the reputation of the British educational system. :D

Not just the worst run team in sports. The worst run anything in anything. Better chance of them winning the Super Bowl than saving a single penny in a settlement. They owe him everything guaranteed that he signed for.

I just can't............

Actually that is a terrible pep talk. “Let’s get the ball into the end zone”...“You know what to do.” Then implies it’s critical to score because they’re getting the ball to start the second half (Darnold’s head now completely spinning.)

No, actually Darnold is utterly and completely lost, looking desperately for guidance. How about “Sam, this is what you’re going to do, just like I’ve seen you do 100 times. Just run it like I know you can. These guys on defense are just men, too. Execute on each play...don’t worry about the score.” (Basically what Belichick and Patricia said in SB51.)

This crappy speech that puts even more pressure on him passes for “encouraging” in Jets land because he didn’t fart in his face?

Which is why I wrote “I just can’t....” :D

Rich Eisen (he’s a Jets fan) on his show said that the Pats left the Jets in a pile of ash.

A PILE OF ASH!!!

Yup. I don't get how/why Manmush Meathead thinks that's "encouraging," but then I'll wager he never played the game. What Gaze SHOULD have done is say something specific, like reminding him about reads vs. the blitz or ask what plays he might be most comfortable with. Or just start a dialogue, "What can we do to settle things down?" Darnit obviously DID NOT know what to do and just unraveled further as the game went on.

The day this mutt was drafted I posted right there he'd be another SoCal bust. It wasn't hard to see that THIS would come to be.He should quit football and take up country music, change his name to Dang Darnit and front for the Ding Dong Daddies.
