Yep, they swung a much Much better deal with Denver than Bill did with Atlanta (& a former protege, to add insult to insult).

And while Bill continues to add redundancy on top of redundancy, our OL & TE/FB rooms are not nearly championship-calibre...to put it kindly...

From a cap perspective, Sanu is a much better acquistion at WR. He's durable and has a decent cap hit in 2020 when the receiving corps will go through another revamping. Besides, Sanu is more of a big slot receiver than an outside the numbers guy. If Henry and Gordon are not out long, Sanders would be the redundant receiver.

The thing about all of this is that it would have been better to have just kept Demaryius Thomas and pass on the whole AB thing. Thomas would have been integrated with the receiving corps by now, have a specific role, and be a great option alongside Dorsett, Edelman, Harry and Meyers. I hope Sanu can find his place quickly.

What the heck happened to Jordan Matthews ? Any why is a long snapper juicing ?

You some kind of anti plumb-ite?

“I remember going in and seeing coach -- I don’t know if he remembers this -- but I was a rookie and it was about 11 o’clock at night," Edelman said. “By the grace of God, we were walking out at the same time. I probably said three words to him at the time before that. I was on the team for like six months. I just looked at him as I saw him on the treadmill, watching film at 10 o’clock at night and I go ‘Coach, you sure like football, huh?’ He goes, ‘Beats being a plumber.'”

I am surprised they aren’t trading Hooper. Last year of his contract and all.

They have cap issues, but TE is usually a relatively bargain priced position (last year's TE franchise number was under $10.5m, which was the lowest of all the non-ST positions). So they may have decided that he's a keeper, and that they'll make needed cuts elsewhere, assuming they think they can create the space.

The Los Angeles Chargers announced Monday night that they have fired offensive coordinator Ken Whisenhunt.

Whisenhunt has been with the Chargers since the final year of Mike McCoy’s tenure as head coach in 2016. Whisenhunt was kept on as offensive coordinator by new Chargers head coach Anthony Lynn when he was hired in 2017. However, the Chargers apparently feel the relationship has outlived its usefulness.
