Michael Bennett TRADED TO DALLAS!!!!

The fact that this guy was unhappy and requested to be traded from a team with a historic defense and a high percentage chance at a superbowl is all you really need to know about bennets character...hes a me first guy

Unbelievable that he would pass up a chance to be part of history to go and disappear in the maw of a dysfunctional franchise.. all for the sake of playing more snaps.

Player of his status,,could we not have hot something a little better,,like a 5th ?
2021 7th is way low in my opinion,,,but what do I know !!!
This Defense is just unbelievable that we can just let go of Bennett. We just didnt need him.
Teams aren't going to pay much for him considering he just got suspended and teams know the Patriots want to get rid of him.

never liked him anyway...I guess you could say he was a passionate player, but his temper got the best of him at times...superbowl 49, and just recently....

Who cares that he pushes down old people? Who cares that he lies about being racially profiled by the police? Who cares that he seems to wear out his welcome everywhere he goes?
Not us! Any more...

This one's not true, though, or at least not verified. That footage came from the police themselves and had tons of points where it was clearly cut and spliced. Also, in the video we do see, there's no actual evidence of Bennett doing anything wrong.

Bill got a lot of guys that didn't work out this year. But unlike other coaches...he doesn't keep them around very long if their not a good fit. That's another reason why he's the GOAT.

How do I love BB? Let me count the ways.

BB and TB in the same year was THE perfect storm.

I’ll admit I was wrong that Bennett was going to easily replace Flowers.

The thing that surprised me isn't that people expected more from MB, many did. It's how little he provided that had me wondering.

I never liked MB anyway and I'm glad that BB traded him.

Well according to the police they told people not to run and he ran and jumped over a wall where the cops then took him down. There was also no evidence that the gun was pointed at Bennet's head as he claimed. He said his cuffs were too tight and they loosened them, they then explained why he was detained, apologized, then released him. Granted it's a he said, he said situation but by the police accounts and video he seems to have embellished his encounter at best.

I thought he would be a good veteran fit, but it didn't work out. These things happen.

I do wonder if they need another veteran kinda fatty DT that knows this 3-4 and can play the A and B gaps (or 1,2 and 3 technique)

Not sure Wise is the best fit as hes more 4-3 DE.. I like Cowart but hes young and not sure he can handle multiple techniques if Shelton were to miss time.

Maybe spot him on Sunday and see what he does....

Starter? He played like 10 snaps week 6 then got suspended for week 7. Did he start game 1 maybe? Even then he didn't get very many snaps. He saves 2.6 million in cap space. It was brilliant to get anybody to take him outside the AFC just for the cap alone. He was a vastly overpaid backup.

Point taken. I'm guessing he could be a starter elsewhere though.

Kamalu is gone so lost some depth there also.

The one about pushing down old people isn't true either.

Injury to elderly charges dropped against Michael Bennett
"Didn't do it" and not enough evidence are two different things as far as I am concerned.

"After looking at all the evidence and applying the law, a crime could not be proven beyond a reasonable doubt," Vivian King, chief of staff for District Attorney Kim Ogg, said in a statement, per the Chronicle. "There was probable cause to warrant a charge initially, but after a careful review of all the pre-charge and post-charge evidence, we cannot prove this case beyond a reasonable doubt."

Report: Michael Bennett's felony charge dismissed

Doesn’t matter, it supported the conclusion they were looking for.

Well thank God, what your concern is or isn't, doesn't affect the fact that once charges are dismissed or dropped, you are not convicted of anything in this Country. Nolle Prosse are the sweetest words someone hears when facing a felony charge. By the way, they conducted a thorough investigation.
