Jets seeing red over "seeing ghosts"

I love how it's right in time for Halloween, plus he has a pumpkin head

You don't want 70,000 people dressed as ghosts in a city in North Florida (the southern part is in the north remember). It's like bringing the olympics to Atlanta, they never saw a flame that big without a cross in the middle of it or a pig turning on a spit on top of it.

Something like this might be enough, plus Darnit is a pumpkin head and a block head...

This is not how it works though.

I know this is coming from Manish but since he is just explaining procedure I dont hesitate to post it:

Personally I found it funny but I can see how executives and players will consider it a breach of trust. Stuff you say on your sideline should stay there. It is pretty much off the record and being a participant in micup segments is supposed to put a positive spin on you.

This is also why soundfx segments of players on losing teams are pretty rare.

Um, don't they have the right to decline to be "miked up?" Why was Darnold miked up anyway? It's because everyone on the Jete sideline thought he was going to be awesome and would give some great sound bites against the hated Pats. The fact that it back-fired on them, spectacularly, like the entire game, is friggin' hysterical. Same old Jete. On to the Browns!

Silly take.

If you agree to give some film team the ability to record your players with an understanding that they're not out to make anyone look bad are you really whining if they exacerbate a bad situation?

Imagine if NFL Films OK'ed us hearing BOB and Brady go at it when Brady lost his **** on Tiquan? IMO Brady was in the wrong there and would have came off very badly if they had played film of it. Then we'd be dealing with YEARS of fans saying Brady is a primadonna bully and citing that exchange.

The people handling this aren't going to be the coaches on the field who are going to be working (and probably failing) on fixing the product on the field. It'll be the lawyers and PR types. You can be upset about 2 different things, science has proved this recently.
Not a silly take. Yes, it was not in their best interest / embarrassing for that to air. But if the NYJ were as passionate about winning as they are about their outrage in this particular case... maybe they’d get somewhere. I am asking the NYJ : is THiS any more embarrassing than your onfield product lately ?

I wouldn’t care if the TB v BOB was aired. If grown men want to act like babies when mic’ed, you get mocked. Who cares what random fans call TB ? As long as he wins. I’m the first to point out that TB is indeed a weirdo. Who cares ? HE wins. All that matters.

Never thought the Butt Fumble could have a rival......but this is close.

I was surprised that they aired the comment...but the Jets should worry about seeing the Goal Line and not so much about seeing ghosts, IMO.

Full link below.

"The Jets have gone from seeing ghosts to seeing red.

"The team is livid with the decision to air a comment from quarterback Sam Darnold during the “Monday Night Football” broadcast on ESPN that he was “seeing ghosts.”

"Jets coach Adam Gase said the team will reevaluate their cooperation with having players and coaches mic’d up moving forward.

“'I think we’ll look into that pretty hard,” Gase said. “That was one of those things that was really disappointing to hear about after the game. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen that where somebody that was mic’d up was basically … a comment like that was allowed to be aired. It bothers me. It bothers the organization. We’re looking hard into our cooperation going forward.'”

haha. Yeah blame the broadcasters now. lol.

Someone should superimpose Darnold onto Swayze.

What an Awesome morning I had at my gym today. While Yankee Fans were being pulled back from jumping off GW'Bridge ( I have no horse in that race being a Phils Phan), Jetes* Fans were leaping over them head first!

Anyone have a link to the full video of this from last night, including context/commentary? The closest I could find is this:

I understand why the team wouldn’t appreciate it but him saying that made me like him.

Episode a billion of “We’re All Peoples”

Maybe the Jets should have traded for Sanu. They may need a QB o_O

I can't help delighting in the irony of the Jets, who started the whole "Patriots are cheaters" canard because of the placement of an otherwise legal camera, agreeing to mic up their quarterback and having the result blow up in their collective faces.

So as a Pats and Nats fan I’m not sure whether tonight matches last night. Nah, it doesn’t even come close.

Guess I don't see the problem/controversy.

Its a player basically just saying how well the other team is playing.

To me its like Brady saying to Edelman (or Welker heh) in the Superbowl: "Its like throwing in a forest out there." (best I remember it)

A game he lost.

If whatever the Jets put on the field last night was fair play, I'd suggest they start cheating.

Need some talented people's help here.

The Boogeymen meme using ghosts with Pats defensive names and numbers....

The dude got mono at an age where he is eligible to vote. Let that sink in and then I ask...what would make the Jets even possibly think he was going to potentionally give a "positive" legendary soundbite? That sums the Jets up right there.

There are not enough laughing emojis on here for that franchise.
