Winning too much might not be a good thing.

I agree....but what can you do? Losing is not an option...ever.

All you can do is keep playing and hoping for the best.

we know they listen to the press...."still here".... but I wish they would only listen to the bad press.....playing with a chip is so much more enjoyable when they win (to me at least).

Nick Saban calls it rat poison but I think it hurts the team when the media tells them how good they are. Who cares if we’re 7-0? 7 wins don’t mean anything, the last two occasions when we went 7-0 in 07 and 15 didn’t translate to a super bowl win. I think the reason for this is the media, I almost like it better when they say Brady is done or we aren’t going to the super bowl or the defense sucks because it adds that motivation. Winning too much will make you complacent. It is rat poison.
the media is still clinging to the fact we haven't played anyone yet. I assume we will lose a couple of games in the second half of the season with a much more competitive schedule. we are still the class of football.

And don't forget we still have Max Kellerman, Rob Parker, Ben Voiln, and the rest of the fools in the media.....

Love those guys! More cliff talk PLEASE!!!

They said the same thing in 2003 when the Pats were finishing the regular season with 12 straight wins. Many mediots said how they would be better off to have dropped one or two late in the season.

I seem to remember that year ending relatively well.

yeah, I think that team went like 5 straight home games without giving up a touchdown or something crazy like that

They did say something I agreed with. The ravens game will not be a must-win game, I mean of course you want to win but BB knows they might face them again in the playoffs and will test out certain looks on defense against Lamar Jackson to see what works and what doesnt work.

Solution: **Enter Jordan Richards**

Is this your final answer on this thread? Are you sure you don’t want a lifeline?

Under the Patriots hood the stop winning feature is currently disabled, unfortunately.

7-0????? Please make it stop!!!!!!!!

It seems to me that winning "too much" gets you a bye and home field advantage throughout the playoffs. And half of all #1 seeds make it to the Superbowl.

I don't care! I can't stand it!

This team is way too veteran for anything like this. Couldn't disagree more. No such thing as winning too much.

Winning sucks, man. 6 Super Bowls? Those are scrub numbers. I'd rather be a Chiefs fan.

The Patriots will never win another Lombardi trophy if they continue to win so many games.

OK, who are you hoping beats the Pats for their own good so they can go on to win the Super Bowl?

The problem with this post is that you seem to think your attitude about winning (and your use of the pronoun "we") will have any impact on the on-field performance of the Patriots.

Also, winning doesn't necessarily make one complacent. Some of us use winning as a motivator for even more winning.

That’s why I posted in another thread that sometimes a loss or 2 is good. I’m not getting psyched to go undefeated.

That’s not the Patriots goal, I can guarantee that.

Please make an ***hat icon we can use for threads like these...thanx
