They should trade Bennett for AB.

Wait................. they can sign AB back anytime. Nevermind.

Ummmm.....the goal is to get rid of a cancer, not to exchange for another one.

.

Ridiculous. Nobody is understanding the E-P with a lobotomy. Think for a change, god DAMNIT.

You mispelled d%#*!@t.

Post edit: (Geez, @Ian has a block on that word????? Now I know why you misspelled it.

.

Not saying this isn’t true (very plausible it is), but this account’s twitter history is nothing but retweeting others. This is the first story that this account has “broken”.

I'm sorry about this ... but I love it too.

Eighteen or nineteen years ago, if this had happened the Borgeses and the Shaughnessys would be stirring the pot as hard as they could. Now no one takes Bennett's side. You play for the Greatest Of All Time, you keep to his rules. End of story.

Trade Bennett for whatever draft pick we can get, saving the cap money.

Sign Bademosi or use the spot for Harry.

Rotoworld saying he’s going to get released?

Are you asking? Are you also aware that Rotoworld's updates are written by NBC interns?

This is what's there: "It's possible his reinstatement will be followed by his release."

Sure, possible. Lots of things are possible.

Badmosi? Seems like STs are ok now.

I have no idea what your second sentence means.

Sorry - in a nutshell, my younger more naive self was somewhat into player idolization. My older self is instead willing, up to a point, to live with flawed, complicated, less-than-heroic players (i.e. mere mortals like me) if they can help my team win.

I'm with your older self.

I'm with your older self.

Thanks. I almost feel like I'm selling him out, but vile antics such as the various Gates have gotten me to my take-no-prisoners mindset.

Illusions may be hollow, but they're still pleasant, for a while.

We need backups and injury insurance on SY's just as we do for other positions.
He's another STer who needs to stay away from playing on D

LOL....yeah..sign me up for the WR weiner group! Just seeing AB bust zone coverage and making plays in week 2 made me realize that we really need an elite WR to give the rest of our WR's some spacing...and it probably would help the rushing offense too!

As for affordability....we have ~3.4M in cap...trading MB nets us another ~2.3....giving us ~5.8M ...give and take a few hundred grand to spend on an elite WR.

Here are two guys that could be available:

AJ Green...12M salary...but with 8 weeks left it would only be ~6M.

Emmanuel Sanders.....10.2M salary....at 8 weeks...~5.1M

I think Green....if 100%...would really open things up for Edelman big time and get the play action going even better...
AJ Green WAS an elite WR, but he hasn't played in about a year, so what will he be NOW at 30. Then consider the cost? Do you think Cincy would take less than a first. So now the Pats would have spent TWO first round picks on WR's in consecutive years and what do they have for the trouble. A kid who is still a question mark and a guy heading out the door since, assuming he IS still elite, how would the Pats afford him next year. If after that if you still thing that is a good idea, then YES you are a WR wienie.

As for Sanders, he was never been an elite WR, but a good solid guy who SHOULD have been a Patriot years ago. But that didn't happen, so if they could pick him up for a 3rd day pick, I'd be OK with it. But again we'd have to trade Bennett just to get close the cap number.

This is wrong headedness. Why not give up a 5th and make the deal that the Rams did and get a potential starting caliber C/G on a rookie contract. THAT's the kind of deal we should be making,

If you want a more realistic receiver scenario lets get a TE like Howard or Brate etc and make a ;move that might improve BOTH the run and pass games.

Don’t want any of them

If we would judge players based on one bad memorable play like some do Bademosi he would have none left.

I just thought they were keeping his reps down and saving him for the 2nd half of the season/playoffs

This stinks.. if he's upset, then they'll likely try to move him. We may need him later on in January against some real QBs, late in the 4th quarter
