Dwayne Allen, Where is he?

Where the hell is he and why is his name not being floated? Izzo's skill set does not translate to the NFL as a legitimate TE. He can be a slow slot receiver but he can't block, misses his assignment in the run game and renders the run game play calls useless.
Is Allen still injured? Does he have a twitter or instaface account?

I’m getting closer and closer to wishing Ben Coates back on the team.

And half kidding but not really, I think WEEI might have better TE’s than the pats right now. I wouldnt want to see wiggy play more than about 3plays, but still. And fauria might be close to what the pats have for a few plays until he would get injured

the guy had bricks for hands but he is definitely a solid blocker...
This is such a drop off this year without Gronk and Allen...
Honestly I wish we had a serviceable TE that could block and help the o-line, I remember when Gronk use to put chips and knock linebackers down to help out the run game.

Also no Develin hurts too, that guy was a stud full back.

Izzo had at least two huge missed blocks last night. One led to the strip sack and the other led to White getting tackled several yards behind the line of scrimmage.

I'd like to see Allen brought back. Looking at the following reports from CBS, it looks like Allen began practicing and played in a preseason game after returning from his injury. He's now had another six weeks since being cut to get healthy. I'd love to see him brought in to replace Izzo.

Allen was a fine depth TE. he just wasn't much of a pass catcher. He was nearly as good as Gronk as a run blocker.

That contract got a lot of hate on here (me included), but that looks like a good deal right about now. Izzo can’t block an infant. A healthy Allen would go a long way toward solving a lot of the problems on offense.

Going into the year edge run blocking was a major concern of mine. Its remains a major concern as well as interior run blocking.

If they can field Allen, Wynn and Thuney on one side, they at least have a have a fighting to gain positive yardage.
