NFL.com says their D has 24 sacks but it should be 25. I noticed during Sunday’s game there were discrepancies between ESPN, NFL Redzone and Yahoo. Redzone kept saying they had one more sack than the others.

Anybody know what sack they took off?

So that means the streak of 5 sacks for 5 consecutive games doesn’t happen.

After further review they awarded the sacking of Jay Gruden to Bruce Allen

Read somewhere today (Reiss I think) and the Pats officially have 24 sacks thru 5 games...best rate since the 1998 Seahawks who had 25.

So, yeah...someone took a sack away! d%#*!@t!

I just went back through and I didn't see any discrepancies. I haven't updated Sunday's game yet, and here are the totals prior to the Redskins game:

2019 New England Patriots Opponent Stats | Sortable 3rd Down, Red Zone Passing and Rushing Opponent Stats.

Sunday's total appears to still be 6, so the 24 total is accurate because they did have 18 coming into Sunday.

These are the totals:

vs PIT - 1
@ MIA - 7
vs NYJ - 5
@BUF - 5
@WAS - 6

I haven't touched my spreadsheets since each game ended, so mine are still original and they match the current totals, so I don't see any removed. The one thing I did notice is there was additional one credited at some point after the 2nd quarter because they corrected a play at 9:11 (QTR2) where it wasn't a sack initially and it later became a sack with a declined penalty (I think they had it originally as a nullified play [no sack] by a holding penalty) - which wasn't in their system that way in real time. I grab it off the feed, so if I did - other outlets probably did also. But that's the only thing I noticed.

And I'll be updating this tonight. Just didn't have time last night to go through it.

Pats D should get credit for at least half of that.

Sometimes they change a sack to a rushing play when they review and see that the QB made it back to the line.
Evidently all plays are reviewed for stats later in and once in a while there is a correction like that.

One time back in 2013 they did this to Chandler Jones vs. Brees on a play where he wasn’t even close to running.

“I really think I fumbled. That was not an incomplete pass!” - Aaron “the rating” Rodgers

You’re right, I read Ryan Hannable’s tweet wrong and thought it said 5 straight weeks of 5+ sacks but it’s 4.

Regarding the discrepancies during the game, Redzone at the time kept saying 4 sacks but other sites had them at 3. I thought they finished with 5 but I guess it’s 6.

So are you now saying they added a sack? Change thread title?
