Still lots of football left...Important to note the hard work and time it took for them to get to this point; it didn't happen overnight.

this is true
from 2017 terrible to 2018 good to 2019 elite

I'm tempted to say something snarky like, "We're on to Washington," but instead I'll say that 4--0 is better than last year's 1--2/2--2 and that ended up OK, despite leaving them with a big hill to climb and some scary days in December.

Most importantly, no one knows what this team will be in December, other than one of the teams playing meaningful games. BB and Josh seem to be able to reinvent the team every week, so January is an eternity in the future.

The big pluses are obvious: the D is awesome and the Pats still have the GOAT at QB. Gostkowski's departure is a huge unknown, otherwise I'd say STs were another big plus. The Offense, as it does every season, won't find its Playoff identity until, well...um, the Playoffs, but there are too many weapons for it not to be strong.

Add the usual question mark about "injuries," and that's all I've got at this point.

Regular season goal every year is first to win your division, then secure a bye and finally get the #1 seed. Pats seem well on their way to the first 2 and will have a chance to beat KC in what could very well be for home field advantage. At the moment it appears that KC has the better offense and the Pats the better defense. Whether or not that is the case later in the year and in the playoffs is still to be determined. Playing a hard fought road game where the offense struggled happens yearly do I am really struggling to understand the angst.
Pats need to win every game this year for HFA

Chiefs could be 12-0 when we face them.

10-2 is the worst we should do, then we beat KC and hope KC loses at CHI.

I don’t think either the Chiefs or Pats will be undefeated before they meet up.

Just some food for thought

Pats schedule so far
Steelers 0-3
Dolphins 0-4
Jets 0-3
Bills 3-1
Redskins 0-4

We’re about to play our 4th team without a win in week 5. Our d looks great, but our competition is basically the minor leagues right now

True, but the good thing is we’re making the little leaguers play like amateurs

I don't know why all the doom and gloom this year after one bad offensive performance. The offense has been good to solid in the other 3 games. I would take this year over 2013 in a heartbeat.

It's highly unlikely any NFL team will ever be 13-0 by week 14 of an NFL season. It's rare. Too much parity. 07 is obviously an exception.

Chiefs "tough opponents":

Chargers x 2
@Bears & NE
Vs Texans

Patriots "tough opponents":

@Ravens, Philly, and Texans.

Vs Browns, Dallas, and KC.

People complain our defense hasn’t played anyone when they’ve been known to give up points to bad quarterbacks in the past. Not saying this is the 85 Bears defense, but probably one of the best Pats defense since 07.

@mosslost makes a good point. I'm feeling quite down on the team this season. I feel like at this stage, with the way the team is constructed, they will win Super Bowl 54 by only 7 points. Ideally, and with a few improvements, they'd win SB54 by 20-30 points. But as it stands, I only envision a disappointing 7 point victory in February.

It is what it is. Sometimes even the Patriots have a down year.

I feel confident in saying this is the best Patriots defense in the BB era, maybe rivaled by the 03 defense.

I personally believe the personnel is more athletic than 2003. 2003 was mostly bend don’t break. This defense lines up and beat teams.
